My wonderful Frizzle makes me smile every day. She is truly unique, not only her appearance but her personality. Of my five chickens she is the one who can communicate and let you know that she is in charge. I had to keep her in my house at night for a while and she walked in the back door at her bed time, got in her "cat carrier"and tossed the timothy hay over herself, making cooing sounds. This is not a chicken for cold weather. She molts in the fall and even when fully grown in her feathers don't protect her as much as the cochins' feathers. It is very cold tonight and I am trying to envision a Frizzle sweater. I love her eggs--I am always amazed at the size of the egg that tiny body can produce. I treasure each day I have her --and I think there will never be another chicken like "Frizzie". She lives with her sisters in an origianl green Egglu.

           My favourite chicken so far!

- Callum, 08 April 2012

Yesterday, i got a white frizzle chicken wich i named frost! shes moved in to are chicken pen, but was extremely shy. this was mainly because of our buff orpington bullying her a bit, but theyre getting along ok now. although shy, frizzles tend to run off frequently as we found last night, but she has turned up safe and sound. i greatly recommend frizzles to any keen chicken owner, however try to keep an eye on them when theyre nearer larger chickens.

A chicken with looks and bags of peronality

- Catherine, 28 July 2011

I have four frizzles and each one has a different personality. They are easily tamed and very friendly. One little girl even laid an egg in my terrier's basket while he looked on! The talk away to themselves and one another but do not seem as noisy as some other breeds and their looks are stunning. Lovely yellow legs, dumpy bodies and wonderful scatty feathers. Highly recommended! (Should not be confused with Pekins, Polands or other breeds who have frizzle feathers).

           Beatiful and lovely bird

These birds make excellent birds for children although their price is up to £1000 so the best way is to incubate the eggs.

           A dear little bird

- Catherine, 13 January 2011

I got a little white frizzle just before Xmas. She is quite a bit smaller than my other birds but she is holding her own. She is a dear little girl, has already become very tame and is just so pretty with her funny feathers. I also have a Poland x Frizzle who is the prettiest chook I have ever seen and gentle with it.

I have a pair of Frizzles Piri (hen) and Nando (Cockeral) about 21 weeks old now. They are so beautiful and full of character. Piri is so tame and is a buddying parrot in disguise - she loves to sit on your shoulder when you sit in the run with them. Nando is not so tame but will run around your feet and sit on them. He is crowing but its not a loud crow (thankfully) , if there is a problem in the run or coop he will let me know and will crow for my attention - usually when they need water refill. Their frizzle is so beautiful and Nando's feathers around his neck is almost curly. I would definately recommend Frizzles to people to keep, they are pleasing on the eye, they are fun to watch and so easy to keep. Eggs - well I've had my first today from Piri and look forward to many more.

           Frizzle

- Jackie, 09 August 2010

I've just started keeping hens and have a frizzle called frazzle, she's the most cheekiest, if there's trouble with the other hens shes always creating it or just joining in, she's so funny to watch.

Nice birds but not with kids

- Jackson, 07 July 2010

They are very nice birds. But they may not be the best with small kids running all over the place in their pen.
