What a great morning. Stuart welcomed us into his home and explained all the finer points of keeping chickens in a back garden, with an excellent Cube cleaning demonstration (and some aerobatics by one of the hens when she spotted a rogue worm in the garden) as well as some top tips for feeding & caring for the birds. Stuart was kind enough to let us hold his hens to see how calm they can be when handled - only Molly the Jack Russell came to grief when one of the birds pooped on her head! Some lovely tea & cakes (made with fresh eggs, of course) to finish & a great little prezzy of some of the brood's produce to take home for breakfast the following day - they were stunning!
