The nucleus comes with a new Queen, plenty of brood and stores on 5 Standard National frames that will fit any National hive as well as the Beehaus. The bees can be delivered within a 2 hour radius of Banbury, Oxfordshire, for £25. Or collected from Omlet HQ.

The bees are great, our beekeeper friend said the queen was good quality and that they were a very calm colony. It would be useful if the bee delivery information was clearer, our bees needed to fly too and from the box they arrived in for a day before transferring the frames to the beehaus, but we had no idea how to do this and in the end knocked the mesh air hole through, only to find another one behind it.

I have to say I am very impressed with my colony purchase, the wife found it a little unerving riding home in the car with them on her lap but they took to their new home extremely well, they were a little slow getting out and about due to the lovely british summer but since the weather has perked up they are flourishing. The colony is so strong that I have even loaned out a frame to rescue a friends queenless colony. Would definitely recommend these guys for your next colony purchase.

Colony was delivered here in good order. Transferred to the hive well, and has been working hard. Very docile, very busy, already have a nearly full super after just 7 weeks.

The bees are doing well. there were quite a few deaths on transport due to the nuc box having a design or construction issue.
