Learning to make an omelette is a rite of passage, so why not teach kids early on in life how to create the culinary staple? Of course we wouldn't suggest you give a 4 year old a box of real eggs straight away, after all some adults still haven't mastered the art of breaking eggs, but they're safe to play away with this wooden set.
This set contains a bowl, whisk and box of six wooden eggs. Three of the eggs can be split in half to reveal a wooden yolk, which can be removed and whisked away. Kids will have great fun practising their cooking skills and learning all about eggs, and they might even turn out to be the next Gordon Ramsay.16 in stock

I bought this for my little girl aged 15 months to 'cook with' while I am making tea and she loves it. I can see it lasting for a long time. It's a lovely, traditional toy and many people have commented on how nice it is. My only problem will be when the cardboard egg box wears out - perhaps you could make a sturdy wooden one, or a replacement cardboard one!
A 4yr old family member enjoys collecting the eggs and is fascinated at looking at the eggs in their boxes and counting them. So I saw this and thought it was ideal. The only reason why I don't give this a full 5 stars is because the eggs don't stay closed by themselves, they have to be held carefully to keep the two 'shells' of an egg together before 'cracking' into the pan. Also only the brown eggs crack open. It's a well used toy of good quality, with a little whisk and bowl. Well worth buying.
From what i have seen - looks good. however, it is a christmas gift so has not been played with as of yet!
