You can't beat a perfectly poached egg, but it is easy, for even the best of us, to get it wrong. Chefs advise vinegar as the key to achieving the perfect egg...well, we advise this little gadget. Simply coat the silicone 'eggshell' with oil or cooking spray, crack an egg into it and float in a pan of boiling water for a few minutes. Use a spoon to pop out your cooked egg, et voila! Don't like the "look" of the yoke when cooked but of course this makes no difference to the taste but the overall "look" of the egg is better. no little bits hanging off here and there

Found this product brilliant to cook fresh eggs, particularly duck eggs. Recomend it to everyone with the need to poach a freshly laid egg.

These are a great way to poach eggs. The eggs poach brilliantly and are very easily removed from the poachers, which can then be washed in the dishwasher. I haven't given them 5* as they take longer to poach than if done directly in water, but this isn't an issue.

My egg poachers arrived - my husband loves poached eggs so I bought them for him - we have two hens but am hoping to get some more this week, after negotiations with my husband! He uses our own eggs and said they are excellent egg poachers - no trouble getting the eggs out and they are fun to look at for the kids etc. Just spray a little light oil in them first or grease and the eggs pop out nicely - all this is hearsay as i've not actually bothered cooking him any myself since we bought the poachers!!!! Shame on me!
