The roosting bars are designed to let all the droppings fall through onto a slide out tray, which can then be simply removed and emptied onto the compost heap (chicken droppings make brilliant fertilizer for your plants!) The dark green PPE coating is fused to the metal wires ensuring an extremely durable finish that looks great in any garden. The standard 2 metre run is suitable for up to 4 chickens and can be extended in approximately 1m lengths. The optional wheels make the Eglu Cube effortless to move, even by just one person. Simply press down with your foot on the pedal and the Cube is lifted into the air. Wheel the hen house into its new position and release the wheel mechanism with another push of the pedal and the Eglu Cube will gently rest back onto the ground. The wheels can be used with the Eglu Cube with or without the run, they simply attach to the frame of the house. If you’ve got a longer run, or a particularly uneven lawn, the Eglu Run Handles will make moving the coop even easier.

Enjoy Collecting Fresh Eggs From the Handy Eggport
Collect fresh eggs from the spacious nest box, without having to open up the whole coop, thanks to the Eggport on the side.
Collecting fresh eggs every morning is a daily delight for chicken keepers. The Eggport on the side of the Eglu Cube chicken coop gives direct access to the nest box. You can get up to 12 eggs per week from 2 hens so if you have a large flock you’ll have plenty of eggs for cakes, Sunday brunch and Omlets!
More chickens means more eggs, and the Eglu Cube has a spacious yet private nesting booth where up to 3 chickens at a time can lay in comfort. The central partition has a sliding door that you can use to close the nest at night to stop hens who might be tempted to roost in there.
Open and close the Cube’s front door using the large handle on top of the house. Easy to do even in winter with gloves on! Letting your chickens out in the morning or securing the coop at night couldn’t be easier.

The Eglu Cube While the Eglu Cube doesn’t have traditional wooden perches, has specially designed roosting bars with a structured surface and rounded corners where the chickens will sleep comfortably at night.
Roosting bars allow the chickens to grip onto something while they sleep, which makes them feel safe and comfortable. As they climb up into the Cube to roost, they also get the reinforced feeling of being off the ground. Although they don’t look like traditional wooden perches, roosting bars are great for larger breeds who find it tricky to jump up to a raised perch, or recently rescued hens who don’t have the strength to flap, and the shape of the bars makes sure most of the droppings fall straight onto the removable tray underneath.
