Looks good but some design flaws
Jem,
This coop looks good but it takes a while to weatherproof and assemble. Why isn’t the wood already treated? - needing just a top coat rather than three coats. I fear that it will take a lot of maintenance and repainting over time, especially the rails on the ground. The design could also be better. In particular, the entry ramp leaves a large hole for bedding to fall down - having a raised “lip” around the hole would be an improvement

Just completed
Vanessa,
Not the same quality as the original at all and I think the necessity to treat timber before use should be writ larger. Confused about block that holds perch as it’s loose. At no point is there an Instruction for securing it. I have done so however with a rogue screw left over.

Mobile chicken coop
Ruth,
Chicken coop bought by Stephen Wearden was for me and I have 5 hens living comfortably in there. We have added extra chicken wire coming out from the bottom to make it extra fox proof.

What a [s]coop!
John,
I bought a Boughton and am delighted with it. It is beautifully designed and easy to assemble with sensible pictures of the assembly stages. May I offer four suggestions? 1 It should be possible within the price for you to tanalise [not sure of spelling] the timber. However, I have put preservative on the outside of mine and it really looks good in green. 2 The instructions miss off one stage at the end. I realised this when I had a loose part and two screws left. The perch support needs the screws from underneath. 3 I cut and fitted a 4' broom handle [£2 from B+Q] for a downstairs perch across the coop.. The bantams love it. 4 The coop is ideal for no more than 2 or 3 bantams if no extra run is attached. Hope these comments are helpful. John Murfitt Cornwall

Good service , shame the wood is not as good as the original
Jill,
Some of the panels were split through and were replaced. It’s a pity this is now made of using a soft wood, even with wood preservative not sure it will last as long as my old original one has. However Polly was extremely helpful in replacing parts that were split through.

Carlene,
I have had my enclosure and coop for nearly 10 years and it’s not showing it’s age a great credit to the quality materials used. We have just moved our whole enclosure and it looks close to new.

Rebecca,
The arc was delivered promptly and went together very easily. Three rescue hens settled in very quickly, laying well!
