have bought the cheaper chinese made coops in the past. you are lucky if you get 2 years out of them. the broughton coop is very sturdy and looks built to last.
My forsham ark is briliiant but i did have to wait nearly 10 days for it to arrive which considering the delivery cost i think it should have been sooner.
This was to replace our old Fordsham Ark (Boughton) which had lasted nearly 20 yrs. Having looked at other cheaper arks, I decided to go for quality........the quality has been maintained.
I wanted solid, well-treated, thick wood. I did not want a coop with roofing felt, as this can harbour parasites.
My only criticism would be that the wood spars that form the base of the coop..ie the horizontal spars that are in contact with the ground.. could be more robust. This is the bit that gets waterlogged and decays with time.
How about a run to match?....my old run fits but is coming to the end of it's days
very pleased with it.
