Chickens love it but lot of powder/dust -

Our chickens really enjoy this food but I have noticed recently that there is a lot of dust/powder in the bags which is a little disappointing. Good product though and will continue to use.

Everything they need? -

I know this feed contains 'everything needed' by the chickens for nutrition and digestion, which is convenient for the keepers perhaps, but, it looks like gritty grey concrete mix! My girls will eat it, but not enthusiastically, more as a last resort if there is nothing else, even if I mix some Garvo special corn mix and Bokashi in with it! Anyone who has seen their chickens go nuts to get worms, good corn mixes, pasta, rice, fruit etc will know that chickens DO care about what they eat and like to enjoy their food as much as we do. Organic or not, we eat to enjoy, and so do our hens! Wish the feed manufacturers would appreciate this not just costs and profits. Have read that hens respond better to this if mixed with water, so will try that.

okay... -

Unfortunately my chooks make a real mess with this food. I was expecting pellets but did not read the description well enough - My fault but I would have expected the food to have been easier for thechickens to eat without spreading it all overthe place.

Dusty -

I have been buying this for over a year now as my hens did not really like the pellets. They absolutely love this food, however I have noticed that recently there has been alot of dust left at the bottom of their bowls which they won't eat. Not as good as it used to be particularly with quite a short shelf life.

Very powdery -

Tried this feed as an alternative to another organic food I was using at the time. Initially thought the size of the granules was good and the hens ate it. However, as with other reviews, it very easily turns to powder, which is left. There appears also to be kibbles of corn in the feed, which no doubt the chickens love, but as this is quite an expensive organic layers pellet, I don't really want it bulking out with corn.

Dusty contents in pellets sack -

I found this delivery of chicken feed to be quite 'powdery' - the pellets were not as defined as they usually are and looked like they contained a lot of 'dust'. The contents of the sack looked like they might have been the last or end of a batch i.e. containing more dusty fragments than you normally would expect. However, the chickens still eat them!
