Better than I expected. The base is very sturdy and instead of rope material that cats can get claws stuck in this is cardboard material. Very easy to put together and blends in with the room

Maurice, our little kitten, loves scratching his post and uses it frequently! The only piece of furniture we're happy for him to destroy! ;)
