In this section you can learn about the chickens that Omlet supply, chicken anatomy (what the different bits of a chicken look like and what they do) the incredible history of chickens and some of the different breeds.
I have 3 chickens 2 hens(a ix worth and a hybrid)and a pullet (maran)i really enjoy keeping chickens and going down ever day getting the eggs. :)
I remember my Mamaw scolding me and telling me to leave the hens be, that it was best for them to be wild and they stayed helathier that way. I feel this was probably a myth but now that I've been considering raising layers, I'd like input on whether she may have been correct in some fashion.
This site is just what I need. Really enjoying keeping hens again. Thankyou.
I had 3 chickens and now have 3 babies Chicken Tikka Chicken Snowy and Chicken Lady Gaga as named by my 7 year old! They are so much fun and really friendly. They love a cuddle!
I don't yet have my chickens so I am reading up about them. I love this site! It helps me a lot with the care and all that.
I love my hens and ducks, they make great pets and conversation starters.
