My Eglu arrived in one piece and after it sitting as an ornament for a few days for the kids to play with I assembled it in the garden. I'm waiting for my chickens to arrive but when they do I know they'll like their new home.

My hens, Barbara and Margot, are living 'The Good Life', in their new Eglu. My children are the first ones into the garden every morning to let them out and check for eggs. It's very easy to clean and maintain. We love it!

We started with a traditional wooden hen house and chickens purchased locally; which was fine until it started to smell! the problem with the traditional house is that it very difficult to move...so the droppings build up...and it smells. The EGLU seems to solve this problem in so much that it is easy to move around and very easy to clean out; the only downside is that it isn't quite as roomy as the wooden house...but the chickens are all happy and laying well. I wouldn't put more than three chickens in at any one time. The only problem I feel that the EGLU has is that there are too many roosting bars and not enough sleeping space; I've solved this "problem" by putting in a plastic tray with some straw on to cover some of the roosting bars. I think that the EGLU is the Dyson of the chicken world...really excellent product that maybe needs a few alterations to make it nearly perfect.

So glad we splashed out on this, our hens Rosepip and Sprout seem very happy. Easy to put together, clean and move.

We took delivery of Henrietta and Harriot on the 6th March, the delivery driver set the Eglu up for us and showed us how to clip the wings, explained all about the food and treats we could give to the chickens and answered any questions we had. The girls have settled in really well and have even made friends with our two west highland terriers. We have already had a couple of eggs which has been really exciting, the first proper egg was actually laid on my sons birthday on the 16th March so it was a nice treat for him to eat a freshly laid egg. We think the service has been fantastic, from ordering online and being contacted to advised when delivery would be and turning up in the time slot allocated and the delivery driver being very helpful - if we decide to extend our chicken family I will definitely be interested in buying the Chicken House.

My Eglu and two chooks were delivered two weeks ago by an incredibly knowledgeable and polite Omletteer. The chickens have settled in well and we're getting an egg every day already! The Eglu is very well designed, it's incredibly easy to use and most importantly the chickens seem very happy indeed. Moving it around the garden isn't quite as easy as it looks though!

On the whole a very good piece of kit. My wife loves it. My only complaint is that it is too heavy to move about with the run attached, solution would be to mould a handle so that it may be moved by one person, not everybody enjoys your passion for chickens.

The house is perfect, my ex-bats took to it instantly, the perches were a bit slippery for them but understandable as they're not used to plastic or perches! They used the nesting box straight away too which was very surprising. It's easy to clean and move around and still spacious with 3 hens and a cockerel. I've not attached the run yet as they free range. Thank you.

This eglu was recommended by a number of friends and has proven to be an excellent choice. I feel that they are safe at night which was a concern and it was easy to install and maintain. My children are benefiting so much and we haven't even had any eggs yet.

We love our Eglu! Our children love running down and opening the door in the morning to see which chicken will be the first out! They are still awaiting eggs so open the egg hatch each morning with bated breath! It is very easy to clean which makes it easy for our children to "help". Would recommend this product without hesitation.
