History

The Dwarf Lop is a very popular pet and exhibition rabbit. Produced from the French Lop, the Dwarf lop first appeared in Holland in the 1950s and is known as the Holland Lop in America. The breed was recognised by the British Rabbit Council in 1976. Dwarf lops have a cobby well-muscled appearance and weigh 2.04kg (4lb 8oz). They have broad lop ears that are carried close to the head to give a horseshoe like appearance. Their coat is dense and quite long.

Behaviour

As with any rabbit the Dwarf lop can make a good pet if it is handled well, offered companionship and provided with sufficient space to have regular exercise.

I have two Lops they are adorable, they are so well behaved and there names are caramel chou chou and muffin. They love to be held and petted.

I have a dwarf lop shes so cute ive had her for 5 months now shes so affectionate ive trained her to come when i call her name also house trained she spends hours with me in the living room so funny when she plays loves sitting on me and stretches out to sleep on me she seems to like cleaning me for some reason goes mad to lick my arms and legs!! i love her to bits best pet ive ever owned.

I breed dwarf lops they are easy to handle not to large don't eat huge amounts only when pregnant or suckling a litter they are great mothers.
