I really enjoyed the chicken keeping course led by the wonderfully helpful & hospitable Stuart. I'm a complete beginner and I learnt a huge amount during the session - not only do I now understand all the basics of chicken keeping but I also got a massive confidence boost thanks to Stuart and his obliging girls! I can't wait for my chickens to arrive! Thanks Stuart
Had the most wonderful morning taking my little boy to see Stuart and his hens. Stuart was very thorough with all his knowledge of general chicken keeping/housing & feeding etc., His hens had so much character and were very accommodating towards us (One chicken having been disturbed from the nest box decided to lay her egg at my feet!). Thomas my little boy was thrilled to bits with all the goodies he went home with (Bag, pen, badge etc.,) and he couldn't wait to eat the lovely eggs we were given. Lovely coffee and Homemade cherry cake to finish off Mmmm.
Stuart was excellent at putting us at our ease and tailoring the course to our needs as newbie future hen lovers. He was very thorough in telling us exactly what we needed to know and didn't complicated the issue with any unnecessary blah, blah. His hens were extremely accommodating as well, and we were able to enjoy a nice cuddle with 2 of his girls. The chilled out coffee and cake afterwards was a great way to relax and think of any questions that suddenly occurred to us, and we were made to feel fully welcome to phone for any advice if needed. Thank you, Stuart
Stuart made us very welcome and was very knowledgable about his chickens and their welfare. I learnt a lot about keeping them well and thriving. It was interesting to see what feathers to trim to prevent them from flying. Also the different feeds etc. It was fantastic to actually hold a chicken for the first time - really enjoyed it. Stuart made us very welcome - lovely coffe and cakes afterwards. Thank you.
Had a really enjoyable Saturday morning, learning all about Chickens. Stuart was really informative and a wonderful advertisement for Omlet. The home made Cherry Cake was delicious, and went down well with a cup of tea. Cannot wait to get my chickens now. I would definately recommend attending to anyone who is thinking about getting some Chickens.
Stuart was very informative and encouraging and was great with my son! Thanks
Slight mix up in timings from the pc system & over xmas period - but quickly and easily resolved. Great course. Would recommend attendance for new chicken keepers. Nice to see the variety of stuarts hens. Thanks Stuart for a good morning.
We enjoyed our morning with Stuart. He gave us a good introduction to caring for chickens and a delicious piece of cake.
A knowledgable, enthusiastic and friendly host who makes excellent cakes!
