Excellent in every way - Roberts, 11 November 2012

Previously I had Bluebells from Widget and have recently purchased two Sussex Stars also. The people running this small holding are very knowledgable, friendly and provide their customers with time and good advice. The animals are raised with high standards of welfare and are happy. If only I had space for more!

I bought two hybrid chickens from Widget's Birds about a year ago. I actually came away with two different POL chickens to those I had planned to get - based on the extensive advice I was given whilst visiting to choose actual birds. When there were then real difficulties introducing the newcomers to our last existing hen, I rang Wigits back in desperation, and excellent advice was freely given to help sort the problem. One year on, Widget's chickens have proved happy, particularly healthy and excellent layers. I would buy from Widget's again with no hestitation.

Fantastic place, make sure that you ring ahead because in a bit of a weird place. Great service and the perfect place for chickens, great selection and brilliant advice from the breeder.
