As a modern forwarding looking beekeeper that had been using traditional cedar hives I was extremely pleased to learn that Omlet had come up with a new hive design – the first for over fifty years. I was not disappointed when my Beehaus arrived, it was simple to assemble as all you have to do is attach the stand and put together the supers and brood frames. The new Beehaus design addresses many of the hive management issues the traditional hives have. The Beehaus is easy to use and the light weight material and size of the supers allows for easy lifting which is a great benefit over traditional hives. Anyone thinking of taking up beekeeping who wants a modern clean and easily managed home for their new bees look no further, you have found it in the Beehaus. I can only see positives in what I believe will soon become the most popular hive in the UK – well done the Omlet Team!

Sturdy and neat. Looks well insulated. Now occupied and only time will tell how the bees like it. Not sure if I like the self-spacing frames supplied, especially as the capacity of the boxes is ambiguous. The curve in the runner at the front prevents a snug fit for the first frame and it would be easy to leave a space for the queen to get into a super above.
