In the hot weather my girls and their handsome chap, Bertie Bloomer, and their ark were suddenly infested with red mite. This was a great treatment product although I did have to use some Mite kill (pyrethrin ) spray as well ,as the boards of the house were a fab breeding place. Use a mask when puffing it and wear boots as the mites love bare legs and can live on humans for a short while...long enough to bite! I will keep diatomaceous earth in my emergency kit...both the big tub and the refillable puffer. Buy it before you need at as I waited 24 hours until it arrived and while the girls were being bitten a lot.

This powder is easy to use, especially if you also get the smaller size and use the big pot to refill it. It squirts out of the smaller pot so can be easily directed into the nooks and crannies of your Eglu. However, I'm not sure how effective it is because I have been coating the inside of the Eglu Cube and food bowl with it every week for about a month and there are still some mites in the bottom of the Eglu every week when I clean it out. It may be that there would have been more mites if I hadn't used the powder, but it hasn't been 100% effective. However, I haven't managed to coat the chickens in it too, so maybe it would have worked better then.

This is really interesting stuff. I'm not sure if it works or not yet, but I have had no signs of red mite for a month. I have tried putting a bit in with the layers pellets, but it doesn't stick well, so I'll try mixing some with our kitchen scraps.

This is a fantastic product. I took on four ex-batts who came with lice. This product got rid of the lice in two easy applications and being completely natural we could continue to eat the eggs whilst they were being treated.

We thought we'd try this to prevent infestations rather than treat one we have so I can't really say how effective it is. It's certainly versatile though because as well as using in a dust bath you can feed it to most animals and use it as fertiliser.

excellent product. It rid my flock of mites and now I use it all the time in their house and they are glossy and very happy.

I got the large tub of this this time, because it is so useful and i fill up my smaller "puffer" type tubes from the larger one, so I can put it on the chickens, round the house and they can even eat it!! during the cold weather when dust bathing has not been so easy it's been peace of mind to keep the parasites at bay. It's not available in stores near where I live, so the large tub is a good idea. The order went a bit wrong and was sent the wrong thing, but easily rectified by phoning omlet and was able to exchange it free of charge. Am pleased with the product and the service.
