I bought 2 of these about a month ago and used it for the first couple of weeks but have now gone back to egg boxes. The design and quality are good, they just don't work for me. Firstly I keep eggs in the fridge and this wasn't so convenient to use in the fridge. Secondly the eggs lie horizontally on the chute, and when you remove the bottom one they're meant to all roll down. But what I found is that the eggs rotated as they rolled and ended up the other way round - then they wouldn't roll properly and in the end a couple fell out and broke :-( Also we get about 3 eggs a day so filled up the first one very quickly, then ended up transferring from the second one to the first one to make space, and that was a faff. Love the idea but didn't quite work for me. Would be much better for people who keep their eggs out the fridge, and don't get as many as we do.

Before receiving the egg skelter I was marking dates on the eggs to keep track of when each was laid, my egg skelter is a brilliant alternative!

This was stocking filler for my husband & he was delighted with it. no need to write dates on our eggs, just take the one from the bottom of the rack.

First purchase was slightly chipped and replaced immediately, so excellent customer service. The skelter looks good and works quite well although care has to be taken when removing the lower eggs. The higher eggs need a 'gentle helping hand' to move down the skelter.

The skelter is exactly what I hoped it would be.

It gives us great reminder to always keep not more than 10 fresh eggs at home! We have 3 laying chickens and this is great gadget to our oldfashioned styled home...
