Verified Reviews for Eglu Extreme Temperature Protection

I bought the small Extreme Temperature Blanket for our Eglu Go Up. When minus temperatures arrived and we found ourselves with one sick chicken isolating from the other two, housed in an Eglu Cube with the larger Extreme Temperature Blanket on. I rely on these well made covers to provide our hens with extra protection from severe winter weather in north east Scotland. They are easy to fit, allow ventilation to get through, and we can still access the coop doors. I would certainly recommend them.

Now the nights are dipping below zero I feel happier our five hens are keeping warm but still with ventilation. They are still laying, so must be happy.

We use our Boughton Coop to house three young Bantam chicks. I have designed some furniture myself in the past but have rarely come across such a well ordered, thoughtful and beautiful structure. It says in the assembly manual that you need two people to put it together but I managed to do it on my own and all things lined up perfectly (IKEA eat your heart out!). It looks great in our garden and I am currently painting it green to blend in a bit more and preserve it. Although expensive it is well worth the money and will meet our, and our chicken's, needs for many years to come.

Not the same quality as the original at all and I think the necessity to treat timber before use should be writ larger. Confused about block that holds perch as it’s loose. At no point is there an Instruction for securing it. I have done so however with a rogue screw left over.

It fit nicely on my large Eglu cube and keep my hens warm during freezing night. The blanket has string to adjust . The outer layer is breathable waterproof and the inside is a quilt comforter feel. I highly recommend this blanket for cold winter!

Bought this just before the beast from the east! -7 and 10” snow and it did the job.

I am pleased I bought this extreme weather blanket as it is bitterly cold and snowing today , so it should keep our Perkins warm overnight and during the day should they want to go back into their Eglu
