This book would be an ideal introduction to anyone setting out to keep chickens. I am currently leaving it around the house to spur the interest of my son. I have had chickens in the past but am meeting resistance from my son who thinks it will be far too much work. If I can only get him to realise the joy of hens this book will explain to him all he needs to know.

I have never kept chickens and wanted to be sure that I had a good grounding in what would be required. This book is fantastic, easy to read and gives an allround picture of keeping chickens. I especially liked that the chapters were short and to the point so that I didn't become daunted by an overload of information. A definite good starter book.

This book is both informative and interesting. A real "must have" for anyone like me - a first time chicken owner.

Excellent book!! Packed full of easy to understand facts and information. Especially suited for those who are in two minds about keeping chickens. It has made my mind up, I am looking forward to getting started.

I actually bought two of these books, one for me and one for a friend. We have both enjoyed reading the book, and have both now ordered Omlet Cubes with run extensions and all sorts... So much for a cheap read..!

A really good book for beginners. An "idiots guide" if you like. Being a bit of an idiot and new to all the fun and games of chickens... this book is just what i needed. My 3 year old son loves the pictures too!

A great, informative and easy to follow book that has been invaluable. The only thing missing has been any information about poisonous plants.
