Fun birthday present but not as successful as hoped! - Susan,

Made a great birthday present but girls not pecking at the upright on and as I put pellets in it, when it rained they turned into mush and blocked up all the holes! Will have to try with treats that wont absorb rain and see it that works.

Well made but chickens won’t use them - Susan,

Bought one of each of the peck toys. They seem well made and robust but unfortunately my chickens are scared of them. They’ve been up a few days and haven’t been touched. I’ve tried shaking them and putting some corn underneath them to see if that will encourage them to use them but so far it’s not working. The chickens don’t even want to go near them and are staying at the opposite end of the run. I think I’ll have to remove them so they get their space back again. Disappointing.

Omlet Says: Hi Susan, Thank you very much for your review, it is important to us in order to be able to improve our products. I am very sorry to hear about the difficulties you are encountering to generate interest from your chickens towards that product. Sometimes, it can take some time for them to get used to it. It can also happen that your chickens are simply not big fans of the peck toy. In that case you might want to try a different method, such as dismantling the toy and then leaving it on the ground, with the treats inside, to see if chickens show interest that way. Your feedback will be forwarded to our product design team, to see if any improvements could be done. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any further request or question. Best Regards, Clemence Omlet Customer Service Team

Interesting toy - Laurette,

It took my girls a while to figure it out. But they seem to have the hang of it now.

- Lauren,

It’s an awesome idea and I wish I could give a better robust my chickens won’t use it. I don’t know how to get them to use it. It’s like they done even acknowledge it, even when filled with their favorite grains. I’ve even dangled it in front of them and let the seeds drop out. Any suggestions??

Pendant Great, Poppy Not So Much - Elizabeth,

Love the pendant peck toy, but the poppy has some issues. There are slots on the top that let in the rain and snow, and then the green base that connects to the stick seems to accumulate residue from the scratch grains that eventually turns moldy. Finally, my turkeys (and I realize this intended for chickens) managed to bend and then break off the metal stick after about five months of use. Going to order another pendant instead this time.
