Very exciting to choose our own chickens!! - Lesley, 2 May 2010

We ordered our hens online and went to collect them yesterday. My e-mail enquiries were promptly answered and Jody was very helpful. Nine year old Grace was very excited that we were able to choose which birds we wanted from the available hens and having seen them in the flesh changed our minds about the varietys we wanted!! Ended up with a Gingernut Ranger, named Babs, a Speckledy called Dot and a Bluebell called Penny. Despite being busy, Jody took time to show us what to look for in a healthy chicken, how to clip the wings and how hold the chicken and turn it upside down to check for lice etc. No eggs this mornig but three happy, healthy looking young ladies. I would thoroughly recommend taking the time to choose your own chickens.
