What a winner
Jane,
My girls love this toy. They do love the combination of treat, eat and play, this is the perfect Flockdown solution to keeping happy laying chickens. One of them, the bottom of the pecking order of three, who is not allowed to play with the new toy, (she is pecked away and only has a chance when there are a few grains of goodies left at the bottom) that if she pings it, rather than just pushes it, she can get more out. It’s bringing out her chicken genius.

It is a great toy!
Sarah,
It is a great toy for getting chickens to earn their treats and keep them busy whilst in the run. I would definitely recommend it while there is bird flu around, so they can keep active. It keeps the food off the floor and doesn't attract rats or mice. The wind turbine is useful for the chickens and also us for example if you have somebody who plays golf they can use it to know where the wind is going. We would give it 5 stars.

Nice, sturdy perch....but.......
Irene, South Carolina,
out of my 9 chickens, none will go on it. I've placed several on it and they jumped off. I have treats at the top, but they are not interested. Perhaps my chickens are spoiled. This was easy to assemble, much easier, not less expensive than creating my own, and it looks great. It stood up to the SC hurricane Ian, no problem. I'm going to have to put some corn on the cobs on it and see what happens.

Good and bad
Irina,
Chickens loves it and they treating it as a perch. Where do chicken love to sleep? On the perches! So they abandoned the house and started to sleep on this perches. It was Ok in the summer, we let them sleep outside. Now it is getting colder but they refuse to go to the Omlet house. At the momemt we take them one by one and place in the house for the night. Not sure how long it will continue

Omlet response:
Hi Irina, Thank you for your feedback about this product. It seems like your chickens are indeed loving their perches a little too much ! Normally, chickens will take themselves off to bed but if a few decided to stay on their perches, you may have to take them into the coop yourself like you are already doing, for a while until they understand that this is what they need to do. You could also temporarily try to bribe them with treats in the coop. Eventually, getting a coop light to nudge them to go inside in the evening could be helpful as well. We hope that some of these ideas will help, and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions. Yours, Your Omlet Customer Services team
Works like a charm!
Charleen, New York,
This has been the perfect solution to two problems and I love it! She never blinked getting back to her routine with this on, hiding. It helps me find her 1st off and 2nd it has really helped with the rooster spurring her too much when mating, hence the reason for her hiding. Now she’s more out in the open. I do think a version with wing covers that snap in place should be looked into and since you don’t carry yet the only reason for a 4 instead of 5.

Caroline,
Fun idea but I don't think any of our three chickens has used it yet. I would love to hear of chickens which do use it.....
