I am so pleased with my cube! After years (I mean about 5) debating if we should invest in this product, my husband purchased it for me as a gift after birthing my son August 2018 Amazing! A little hard work to build especially the clips but once it’s done it’s fine. We have taken it apart once since building for a deep clean. Easy to clean daily and easy to access (Even while juggling children) my 3 Orpington hens and 2 Serama Bantams and one Serama cockerel all fit. There can be some peking over the one nest box. Easy for my 4 year old daughter to open the egg hatch (she’s loves being in charge of the egg hunt) We added the walk in run and the automatic door

I initially looked at the cube and thought it was too expensive. It also looked untraditional and I was skeptical. So I bought a wooden coop for $400 from eBay. The wood was so light - a cross between one and balsa wood. It would have lasted a couple of years in our climate. I also suspected a fox would easily break into it. It made me feel bad just looking at it. So I gave it away without even putting a chook in it and bought a cube. I love the cube. It's 1000% better. It's tough and totally weatherproof. It makes me feel good just looking at it. I love showing it to people. I wish I had invented it. It fits my 6 Isa Browns. I could squeeze two more in, but that would be it's limit. The poo tray and roosting platform get dirty quickly (unlike the photos in the adds), but they are easy to wash down once or twice a week. In fact, I leave the poo tray out over summer so poo falls onto the ground. You won't regret buying one.

We've had two previous Omlet Eglus (Classic and Go Up) - they were definitely easier to put together than this but they are smaller so that makes sense. Instructions are easy to follow, however some of the screws, knuts and bolts were not manufactured properly meaning it took a lot longer to set up than expected. Despite this, I did manage to set up the whole thing mostly on my own and once it's all put together it is a wonderful coop. I love the new ladder grips - definitely an improvement from previous ones. The nesting box is a lovely size and the girls seem to love it. I must point out though that from my experience the perches should be in the same plastic material and the same colour as the droppings tray - we've had our coop just over a month now I think and I can already see the grey perches discolouring despite the fact that I clean them every day (yes I'm that fussy about my chickens) with poultry cleaner, a sponge and water whereas the droppings tray is still a lovely green colour. That's the only downside when it's set up though.

The Cube was the first Eglu I bought and is by far the best

This is a great hen house. I have previously had wooden houses but always end up with red mite issues. The cube allows me to regularly (and easily) dismantle it sufficiently enough to power wash it down and keep it clean. It slots together securely and is very easy to clean out - whether power washing or not! I have recently added an autodoor as I had a visit by Mr Fox and have my cube in and open enclosure rather than having a run attached. I would recommend having a run or autodoor for additional security to save the heartbreak of loosing your chucks. And if you think the price is high then think again... this will last an awful lot longer than a wooden coop and it maintains a good residual value so will still fetch a good price if you then wanted to sell it.

I couldn't be more pleased with this coop, it's so easy to use and makes chicken keeping a delight. I put it together myself and it's straightforward to do. I would highly recommend - I have two of these now and would definitely buy another. I have added the auto-door to both of mine which is another fantastic invention!

Love our Eglu Cube. We had an Eglu Classic coop for about 11 years and recently decided to upgrade. The cube took 2 of us about 4 hours to put together, it wasn't difficult but it was time consuming. It takes up roughly the same footprint as our older & smaller one did but as the girls can go underneath the coop they have plenty of room. It's so easy to clean, durable and looks stunning!

Cube is fantastic just upgraded from eglu go also bought the automatic door gives them so much time out as I’m not always up at 6.30 in the morning

Absolutely brilliant hen house. We are big fans of the Eglu having purchased an Up for our original girls some time ago. These were in the days when we were getting started on our chicken keeping journey. Having now become obsessed with our girls, we wanted them to have the very best in hen technology and security. With the Cube, they have more space. This is great when it comes to laying where the hens can now share the nest space. It’s so easy to clean and maintain and great for attachments like the auto door and light which are fantastic add ons that give peace of mind.

We had already purchased numerous Eglu Go's but needed a larger coop for our larger rescue hens. So we decided to purchase two of the Eglu Cube Mk2 with wheels kit. There very easy to assemble and our birds love them, you can even install an Omlet Chicken Swing!!!!!. The run is very well made as are the included feeder and waterer. Being Fox resistant and not having to worry about the itch inducing redmites makes the Omlet Cube our favourite coop in the Omlet range and we will be adding more to our collection soon.
