About Me

We are Nikki Williams and Paul Heath, I have kept animals for just short of 15 years. Our main passion is our exhibition show poultry We keep Salmon Faverolles , Dutch Bantams and Rosecombs which are the pure breeds. We keep a few different breeds, large and bantam on our 1/4 acre of land and breed up to 150/ 200 birds a year. We also hatch many types of hybrids including the Gingernut Ranger & miss Pepperpot also & these are available all year round...We have two sites Warrington & Stoke On Trent.. Our love is breeding for showing and also education matters. I often visit schools and do talks and features on the birds, hatching and incubation. I love having chickens around the garden and house and I'll show you how fun and easy they are to keep! Our courses suit anyone who is thinking of keeping chickens and is a complete course that covers just about everthing you need to know you get to started with chickens and offers you the background knowledge for things you may never come across but you may need to know.. We offer good practical hands on advice and our course is a series of demostrations to talks to Q & A's , We give the option to show, explain and describe just about everthing possible to do with chicken keeping and will show you how they interact with Cats & Dogs. We are also both fully qualified Poultry Club of Great Britain Judges and judge various shows and competitiosn in our spare time.. My specialty is true Bantams - especially Dutch and Rosecombs. We can offer expert advice on the keeping, breeding and rearing of birds and how to maintain healthy lifestyles, feeding and other general common easy to solve problems you may come across. We are based just off the M6 motorway. .. in the Warrington / Wigan area and are very easy to find... Lunch is also included... thanks to Mum and her excellent buffets, including a range of sandwiches, cold meats, Cocktail sticks, crisps, nibbles, eggs, salad and sometimes cake !! (Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements, and we will cater for you ) I am quite a confident and out going person, who in their college years have studied dance and acting, so It's nice to apply those skills to my favourite hobby- the birds! My birds and I have also featured in the Great Food Fight on channel 4 earlier this on alongside Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsey and Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall. My birds were the free-range birds featured along side Bill Oddie on "Jamie Oliver's Fowl Dinners". But that?s another story? The birds were also featured on a short Documentary called "Best In Show", a tv channel 5 series covering all aspects of exhibition chickens at the National Poultry show 2008, which featured us and our birds and our wins & we have also appeared on Harry Hill's TV Burp with out famous chicken being washed & blow dried! My courses are open to everyone, are you just thinking of getting chickens? or keep them now?, we will cover everything you need to know to keep your birds happy and healthy.. I also write for the Fancy Fowl magazine and we both are on the Poultry Federation show Commitee and I run and manage the British Faverolles society website.. we really are chicken mad! We welcome everyone and have had people travelling from miles to visit, why not come along you for some really good fowl fun....Courses are held at our Warrington site. And please have a look at our feedback..www.faverollenik.com & www.faverolles.co.uk We look forward to seeing you.... Nikki & Paul [/b]

What an amazing afternoon we had.We had decided that we would like some chickens so booked on this course. It made me want them now.I feel confident about looking after them properly.Never realised how many different beautiful birds there are out there. There Faverolles are definately on my wish list. Thanks For a great time

A really great afternoon - Susi,

Nicki and Pauls' enthusiasm for all things chicken is infectious. A really well run and informative afternoon that I would recommend to any aspiring hen keepers out there.

Complete Chicken Keeping Course / Paul & Nikki - Martyn,

I attended this wonderful course with my 8 year old son initially "quite keen" on keeping some chickens; but now "desperate" to get our first hens feeling confident with all we have learned from Paul and Nikki that we can give them a long and happy life. Every topic listed in the course overview is covered and much more and explained so well that my son (and even I) understood everything. A lovelly buffet was provided by Nikki's Mum and the only frustration has been that the hen-house I ordered this morning will take up to 3 days to arrive.

Complete Chicken Keeping - Tina,

Thank you both so much for a very enjoyable and informative afternoon. Even though I had been reading up on the subject I got so much more from meeting you and your beautiful chickens. Your enthusiasm is infectious.
