Eglu Cube Chicken Coop with Run (3m) and Wheels - Purple
The Fort Knox of Chicken Coops
Kelly, Ohio,
Ordered my omelet coop and run this past July. Shipping took a while so plan ahead for when your chicks will be ready to move from the brooder to the coop. I allowed plenty of time so the shipping timeframe wasn’t a big issue for me. I grew up on a farm in rural Ohio. We kept chickens my whole childhood and I finally moved to some land as an adult and could go back to raising my own chickens. Honestly there is just no comparison to fresh eggs. Be warned once you have had them going back to store bought is hard! Anyway I moved my 6 Easter Eggers in right at 8 weeks old. It was late summer so didn’t have to be too concerned with cold nights. I couldn’t believe how quickly my chickens took to their new home. Happily running around the secure run and hopping up the ladder for bedtime the very first night! I chose to spend the money on this coop for several reasons. First I have every manner of critter that would love a chicken dinner, great horned owl, hawks, raccoons, coyotes, foxes and the potential for neighborhood dogs to get on my property. Because of this free ranging my birds would not be an option. The omelet is secure and I mean completely secure. A few days ago I look out my window to find the neighbors dog barking at my chickens and clawing at the coop. The dog was working so hard to get at my birds he cut himself. The only thing he accomplished was tearing off my windbreak panel and hurting himself. My birds were perfectly safe! Amazing! The other reasons I chose this coop is the ability to move it around so my birds can have fresh grass. I have the longest run you can get and can easily move the omelet around by myself over bumpy terrain with no issues. Takes longer to move my feeds and stuff out than it does to actually move the coop! Another reason I chose the omelet is easy cleanup. Every part wipes down with coop cleaner, water and a paper towel. Even stubborn children droppings come off. I like to keep a clean coop and it takes me less than 10 minutes to clean out my omelet top to bottom. Finally I chose the omelet to ensure my birds a comfortable. Happy chickens lay the best eggs! The omelet is cool in the summer and keeps the chickens warm in the winter. My birds turned exactly 5 months old this past week, on December 21, the shortest day of the year. We had near blizzard conditions here, blowing snow and -9 without the windchill, which was about -30 degrees. Much to my happy surprise I had my first egg on Christmas Eve! If you’re a chicken keeper you know these are not optimal conditions for your chickens to start laying! My birds are young to start laying for Easter Eggers, we definitely did not have 12 hours of daylight and it was bitter cold! I can only guess that the omelet has kept my chickens healthy, safe and warm to the point they were ready to start laying even in these conditions! Love love love this product and all the accessories! I ordered the auto door about 2 weeks after my chickens moved into the coop. It’s a life changer! Never failed! Well worth the money! Highly recommend!

Sturdy & Safe
Stephanie,
I'm so pleased I purchased the Eglu not only is it a sturdy& safe coop (fox), but is very easy to clean with the removable droppings tray. I've always had the traditional wooden coops and red mite was a constant problem, but not anymore with the Eglu

Windbreak for Eglu Go UP
Perfect for providing shelter
Jennifer,
Our previous windbreak had been ripped off by a fox overnight trying to get to the chicks! We had it for three years and was still going strong so immediately purchased a replacement. The girls love to shelter under their coop in bad weather and we keep their food under there too so it stays nice and dry. An essential add on to our omlet eglu go up and run set up.

Automatic Chicken Coop Door with Coop Light - Green (Power cable not included)
Very robust and flood safe!!
Tanya,
I bought the Omlet chicken coop door early this year. I live in Eugowra NSW and with the recent flooding, my Omlet door and controls were completely submerged in very fast, strong flowing water for a number of hours. The door has not missed a beat, still works like new. I love my Omlet Automatic Chicken Coop Door!

Feet Frame with Square Wood Feet for Donut Cat Bed - Pack of 4
Finally. A cat bed that my cat actually uses. There is no greater praise
An Omleteer, Hertfordshire,
My cat is six years old. In that time I have bought her numerous cat beds all of which she has treated with utter contempt. If tried to lift her up and place her on these other beds she would react dramatically like I was making her walk across burning hot coals. So I was a little unsure about buying this and for the first few weeks she completely ignored it. *sigh* here we go. I tried it in a few locations but then just left it by a radiator in a quiet room hoping the warmth would coax her in. 6 weeks pass and I start to give up hope. But then one night I get up and she is nowhere to be seen… Where do I find her? That’s right. Curled up in the cat bed & I haven’t been able to get her out of since. She loves it. Best cat bed I have ever bought. Just needed a little patience. Am now hoping that they decide to make one in a larger size for her big brother so I can reclaim my sofa.

Heavy Duty Cover for Eglu Go - Full Length
Heavy and warm
Kati,
This item is very different to the sunshade. It's heavy and has a rubbery texture. Other covers were blowing off. I only wish I had purchased sooner. Thankfully I read someone else's comments about how heavy it was so purchased in time for our current cold spell.

Flourishing Flock Finally
Angella,
Our 4 hens are loving their safe, warm coop with 9 ft run. We bought a heated automatic chicken waterer that is such a relief to not have to go out in the cold to break the water first thing in the a.m. After we first bought them, our chickens each got a raspy cough/sneeze. We used VetRx and antibiotic but 1 hen died, sadly. We got a replacement. She got hen pecked for almost 2 weeks, by the hen who got hen pecked by the other 3 originals. Then they all settled down. But the new hen ended up with a "pasty or yucky butt". So after a while, we figured this was a thing and looked it up. We cut the dried poo off and thouroughly cleansed the hen's vent area with warm soapy dawn dish water from a spray bottle, rinsed with warm water from another spray bottle, and blow dried her off before putting her back in the coop. She had stopped laying for about 2 weeks. We anticipate her laying again soon. This is a learning experience and I'm glad we have 4 healthy, happy hens now with almost 4 eggs a day. The Omlet is so secure and warm for them. We did have a cat lunging at the hens and so added a roll of chicken wire around the coop for a little extra distance for cat paws. I run them off with loud clapping when I can catch them lurking around. We found we did not need the light to notify the hens that the door would be shutting. They would go up the ladder when the normal light of day was getting dim. Then when they were in the coop the light would come on. They would get confused and sometimes go back down the ladder. We ended up disconnecting the light and setting the door to close at the latest programmable time. Now it seems to be working perfectly! Love the coop, heated auto-waterer (bought separately) and our 4 happy hens! Also, we do move it around every so often. It rained for a few days and we tossed in some hay so they would not have to walk around in the mud. There was grass before, but not anymore. Mud. So hay is good to keep on hand. It was like rolling out carpet. Their little feet got a break from the mush. They even sat on it to rest during the day. We also stuck a rod through the coop for them to roost on during the day. They do like to get up high. We keep a few folding chairs around the coop to set and watch them if the weather allows. They like some meal worm snacks too. We gave them a little plain yogurt topped with meal worms for the probiotics. This was an idea I found online for chickens with "pasty or yucky butt". Good for the tummy. They really liked it too.
