Bought the Omlet Eglu Go hutch because I've had my bunnies for 6 years and I've got through 3 draughty wooden hutches. I had to bring them in when it was cold and they don't like being cooped up in their indoor cage. The Omlet hutch has got everything covered for me all my problems solved: 1. It is plastic so can be sterilised every time I clean them. 2. Draught free ventilation, I won't need to bring them in anymore when it's cold! Happy bunnies, clean house! 3. Wire floor, my bunnies are massive diggers and my lawn remains intact. 4. I bought a clear rain cover so my bunnies can remain dry and can still see the sky, which is good for their mental wellbeing. 5. Their hay rack is in the hutch so their hay remains dry. 6. Their water bottle is in the hutch so it is less likely to freeze or grow algae. 7. It's super easy to clean out which saves me time The only negative I have regarding this product is that it was a nightmare to put up with my partner and we nearly had to call off our wedding because it was so frustrating!...having said that, this happens when we erect any flat pack furniture! Summary, once erected the hutch is a dream. I couldn't have designed it better myself and would not go back to the conventional wooden hutch. Thanks Omlet!

This is so well engineered, easy to put together, easy to move and easy to clean

This puffer bottle enables you to easily "dust" any surface -nesting box ,roosting bars or surface of run etc

I have always used this for bedding, it is by far the best for my chickens, though I do top up with a little straw in cold weather.

Finally after keeping hens(in wooden coops) for several years I have been swayed to the light side. The EGLU up and go was a breeze to put together and is housing my bantams very nicely it's very easy to clean. What make me finally purchase it well I got a secondhand OMLET that was over 10 years old and was still in such good condition,I felt that this was an investment. This, coupled with the fact that I no longer have to spend summers fighting red mite, says the descisson is a no-brainer

Building the coop could be easier, but the product is excellent. I erected the Eglu Cube with the help of my partner Helen. It definitely takes two to make the build easier. Alignment is sometimes challenging, but in the end we built it. I am not 100% convinced that all parts were new. I would recommend that you pay the extra £20 or so if you live within two hours of Oxford to ask the delivery manager to build the Cube for you. The product is well thought out and a very significant upgrade on the thatched but deeply flawed chicken coop we had beforehand. Hence the 5 stars.

I was never going to buy a wooden chicken coop because I can build myself and at least match if not exceed those that are available ready made. However, time was against me on this occasion. My partner's birthday was looming and I hadn't even made a start on the coop I'd promised her. So, I looked at the Omlet website for a solution. I'd seen the Eglu before, but always considered it a touch expensive (but then I am incredibly tight). How wrong can you be? I took a punt and I'm so glad I did. The Eglu Go is a first rate design that just oozes quality. My partner loves it and our three new hens love it too - they're so content. Every time I look at it, it gives me pleasure - just appreciating the design and quality, and knowing that I made the right purchase. It reminds me of the adage, sometimes attributed to swiss watch makers, but also Sir Henry Royce (of Rolls-Royce) i.e. 'quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten'. If you're undecided on whether to purchase an Eglu, don't be - buy one, you will not be disappointed.

The gutter is a sensible idea to hold down the edge of another as the recent winds have caused gaps in the roof. The run is far less wet now, thanks to whoever thought this up.

I love my new Eglu, and won't regret the (huge) initial outlay as long as it proves to be as hardwearing as it promises to be. There were some issues with delivery that, to be fair to Eglu, were initially ParcelForce's fault, however it took rather a lot of nagging to get things sorted subsequent to this which was a shame. Even then I never received assembly instructions, however luckily there are mostly-up-to-date ones downloadable on the website. Once I had all the pieces and had assembled it the Eglu was a good size - I have 3 medium-large chickens and am grateful for the 1m run extension - the house allows plenty of room though. :) Having used wooden houses previously I am delghted with how simple the house is to clean... it makes the world of difference. I live in a residential area so ease of keeping clean (to minimise smell and risk of rats) was essential. I clean and disinfect weekly and it takes no more than 30minutes. The design is well thought-out and it is very easy to use in terms of opening/shutting coop and egg-collecting. Took the girls a few days to figure out the steps properly (it was very funny watching them slip and slide up/down them at first - poor chicks) but they now have it down. with no issues. :) The ony flaw is that whilst the wheels allow the coop to move very easily over hard floor, once on grass its far less smooth, especially if moving backwards (the cage bends if you push it so you have to pull while angling it simultaneously) - an extra pair of wheels would make life easier, or perhaps a stabilising bar horizontally around the run. Overall, although I still feel the price is steep, the Eglu is a quality purchase that mokes chicken-keeping a breeze. I love it and so do the chickens.
