Fab product, eggcellent design - should've bought one years ago!
I always felt the Omlet products were overpriced and probably only for urban chicken keepers who needed an easy solution for their small garden flock however - I was wrong! I should have bought one years ago! I bought an Eglu Up Go recently in desperation as my small flock were being repeatedly infested with red mite in the traditional wooden coop that we had for several years. The Eglu is perfect for our needs (mine and my chooks). I didn't need a run as we have a section of the back garden fenced off for their exclusive use (doesn't stop them repeatedly trying to break into the bit with flowers and rampage through the bedding plants!) I have 5 girls and wondered if the Eglu would be big enough but it absolutely does the job - the girls love it and started laying there regularly and politely take it in turns to lay their daily egg in the one egg compartment - that's after having a choice of 4 nesting boxes previously. They are still a but wary of the ladder but getting used to it. What I love is that it is SO easy to clean - it takes me no more than 5 or 10 minutes and I can even hose it down if I want to. It is sturdy, vermin proof and I can move it to different positions in the run whenever I want to so in the winter I can move it neArer the house to avoid tramping through mud to let them out in the morning. The girls look healthier than they have for months are laying well and I took great delight in burning the old mite ridden coop. Even my hard to please husband was impressed by the design - it really is perfect. The slatted floor means that chicken poop just falls through to the tray underneath than can be emptied daily if necessary with minimal effort. My only criticism is that unless you buy a run with the eglu, there is no where to fix the feeders and they just topple over. Will have to make a feeder stand on the fence unless anyone has any ideas? Also a great new accessory would be a solar door opener for when we are away if any of your amazing eglu designers have any ideas?
Thrilled with the purchase - worth every penny.

Great Bit Of Kit
Bought the frame and feeder/drinker stand as my Eglu Go is coming back from the allotment to provide digs for some ex batts. Thought it would be nice to give it a lift off the ground to give the chooks more room and so they can shelter under it. As always with Omlet this is a robust piece of kit which gives full value for money. It's not too fiddly to put together and I LOVE that Omlet have taken on board a previous customer suggestion to provide grippy strips for the ladder. Happy as a chicken in a dust bath and v. much looking forward to getting more girls.

Really love the Cube. So easy to clean and keep nice. The only thing I would say is i have a bad back and struggle putting the water container in the coop as it is heavy. Really like it though and the hens are happy!!

new roosting bars
The larger bar needed replacing as original no longer cleaned properly (was good few yrs old). The smaller bars are perfect for blocking my constantly broody Wyandotte from sitting in the straw for hours

Fabulous
Love the design of the eglu. Someone has really thought this through. Its easy to move so that the chickens are on new ground every day. Its easy to clean out, put them to bed and check for eggs. Looks brilliant, such a funky design. Our chickens are safe, healthy and happy. Its pricey but in my opinion worth the outlay and its such good quality I think it will last a very long time.

Best thing ever bought
This cat run is just perfect. Most of all the cats love it too - we only have to open the back door and our two Maine coon cats walk straight in and spend virtually all day in it. If we were to purchase again I would pay for this to be assembled though as it was hard work trying to assemble this with the help of a 3 year old - but we did it! Love the fact the run can be moved and knowing the cats are safe and secure. Thank you Omlet!

expensive but oh so worth it
Dithered about buying one cos of price, bought inferior wooden one which was falling apart after 2 months! Decided to treat myself and go for cube. I love it, it's so easy to clean , loads of room for my 5 girls, wish I'd bought one first, would highly recommend if you have just a few chickens.

My chicks love it.
i bought this for my Big Girls, but I rushed trying to get them to use it. I knew that chicks would love it though.
From the moment that twe started to put the chicks outside for short periods (about 2 weeks old), the swing was there, just a centimetre off the ground. The chicks ignored it, they jumped over it, jumped on it, and they barged into it a lot. This was great, they weren't fazed at all by it swinging.
After a couple of days, one of them tried sitting on it. As soon as that happened, they all wasnted to have a go. As the chicks grew, we raised the swing. When they were very small we'd
have a line of them sitting on it.
My chicks are now between 5 weeks old and 7 weeks old. Now they are bigger they tend to take it in turns, although I occasionally see 2 of them on there together.
It's really well made. At first, I thought it would be just as easy to make something myself with a couple o fbits of rope and a broomhandle. However, it isn't that simple. This is really well thought out, so although it swings when the chook leaps off, it doesn't twist round on itself. It's easy to adjust, and the perch bit is well shaped and sized.
Whgen we introduce our chicks to the Big Girls latger in the year, the swings are going with them - and I bet the Big Girls learn how to use them.
It's so popular that I've had to buy a second one.

No rubbish!
A lovely mix of grain, wheat and maize, with no rubbish added and no chaff. My ladies love this and it helps me train them to head down towards the coop in the early evening after free ranging in the day. I've decanted it into big storage bins to keep it fresh, since it arrives in a paper sack which is very very weighty. I use a scoop to serve it which means there is less waste. There is never the smallest amount left on the ground and the ladies have even sussed out where the corn bin is in the cottage! To top it all its organic. Will be coming back for more when I need to, this will be a staple for my girls, alongside the Marriages Layers Pellets.
