No more crawling, bending, dirty knees etc. The walk in run has transformed our chicken keeping and the hens seem very happy. It's easy to move around and maintain the bark chipping on the floor, we've installed some branches which the birds love to sit on whilst they preen etc. and they're perfectly safe. Easy to open the top part of the door to deliver treats. Well done Omlet - a perfect house for urban hens.

Looks smart, easy to clean and the girls are very happy to head off to bed in the evening. I feel confident they are safe, sound and comfortable.

A super product and delivered quickly

IMO the best product to use in the run if your run is on slabs. It doesn't blow around like other products, it really keeps the nasty niffs down and dries out so much better than other products. Very good in the coop too

Really pleased with this purchase and will look to extend the run as soon as we can. Was at first reluctant to change from our wood framed pen to this one but so pleased we did we can view our girls easier so makes it better to keep an eye on them and we can see them from the house so great pleasure in watching them from the window but more importantly the girls seem to enjoy it too a lot less dust accumulates in the pen now which must be good for them would thoroughly recommend this product

Firstly the awkward bits. It takes a long time to put up if you're not that experienced (pretty much a whole day). It's not that it's difficult, just that there's a lot of things to get right. I think the instructions could be a little clearer on how the panels should fit round the poles (eg poles on the inside). If you've got space, leave all the bits in each box as they all look similar. The roof also dips a little in the middle section, so when water lands on the all weather cover it sags inwards. In heavier weather there's inevitably a giant shower once the sagging gets too heavy. We're working on maybe putting some fibreglass poles (like in tents) underneath the cover to create an artificial roof structure to allow the rain to run away. The cube doesn't actually fit that comfortably inside as you need the three vertical supports inside the run. Oh, and build the run around the cube.....it can't go in afterwards. The good points. Looks great, relatively easy to assemble (it's just clips) and the chickens really enjoy it. I know that I've put more detail regarding the negatives but they're only relatively minor. Although it seems quite expensive, I would probably buy it all again.

These are fantastic, they protect the chickens from the wind and the rain. They also like to eat the insects that they find crawling on them.

I use this product in the nest box and my chickens seem to love it. I have also started using it in the cats litter tray and it works perfectly, and is so much cheaper than standard cat litter. I have been using it since February and I still have over 3/4 left.

I bought this product along with my Eglu Cube. It fits the 1m standard run perfectly, and keeps water out while letting the light in. The chickens seem to love drinking the water drops that come off the side, which I find amusing to watch.

The initial pack came without all of the correct fiittings (for the skirt around the extended run). Omlet not only sent them to us without quibble, but sent them again when a relative accidentally took the first parcel to the tip. Thus service was excellent. As in other reviews, putting the thing together was a challenge, but we managed. The run has now been with us for about 6 weeks. The chickens are happy. We used a plank to help them up the steps for the first week - they were only a few weeks old at the time, and quite small, but they soon got the hang of it. The run is easy to clean, and much more convenient than our more traditional hen house, I can move it around the lawn on my own. It certainly needs to be moved every day if the chooks are kept in - they love the grass, and eat it down to the ground, and then scratch gaps around the edge of the pen. This is OK in spring when the grass is growing well, but I think in winter we will need to move it onto hard ground and use woodchips, as suggested. I haven't noticed any fox digging yet, so we haven't yet tested the skirt of the run.
