I already had some clear side panels, but wanted the green ones to create shade for when we had sun (!!!). They are now multi-purpose as they protect the chickens from the rain (!) and from the sun when it shines. An excellent buy.

This run extension was super easy to add to the original run and does not add too much weight. It is still easy to move and gives the chickens more space. Thanks for a great product!

I love this cage. Very easy to clean and move around. Totally easy to set-up. Two things...wish that the top cover didn't come cracked and the fee to send back wasn't so much and that there was some way to get the cage attached to the cage so that it does't become loose when you move it around from locations.

I did not get a chicken. A chicken got me. It arrived at my gate a month ago. It was a small white well nourished babe but very upset and in a bit of a mess. I will never know whence or how it came. I named her Daisy. So I hurriedly bought chicken food, got a chicken book, ordered an Eglu Go, bought another little chicken, bought parasite control stuff, tonic, wood shavings and dear knows what else.The Eglu was ideal to settle the babes. They seem to know they are safe to be left in it, so I don't have to worry any more. They do like to get out for a potter-about but go back in happily. My family say, never mind the expense, you'll get lovely fresh eggs. However, very recently, in the morning, Daisy said "ockadoodledoooooo" three times and every morning since.

Introduced 2 ex-barn hens to my small 'flock' of 2 chickens, who promptly decided to try to eat them. I sprayed the anti-peck on the newbies and it did seem to reduce the amount of pecking, although I had to renew it regularly. A combination of keeping them separated as much as possible for 4 weeks followed by vaseline on the newbies combs (thank goodness for t'internet), violet spray on wounds and topping up the anti-peck has more or less done the trick although it has been stressful for all concerned.

I got my eglu second-hand from someone who no longer keeps chickens (I know, why would you not want chooks). Anyway the cover the came with it was weathered and very thin, eventually ripping in some strong winds. This new heavy duty version is much better. The material is thick and it feels like it'll last. Very pleased :)

Am about to have 2nd hip replacement and find it difficult to bend down to clean out our existing hen shed. This is therefore ideal as once up and running it is easy to access for cleaning and collecting eggs. Have also had problem this year with red mite, now pretty well under control but so much easier to deal with the girls now that they are in this new house than the old wooden shed that had so many nooks and crannies. The ladder is too high up from the ground so we have rested their old one against it to make it easier for access. Another downside is that we have used an automatic timer for closing the pop hole for years and with this system that is impossible and therefore a little constrictive if we were to go away overnight. Is there anyway that this could be developed in the future? As yet we have not set up the cage but already have discovered that unless the cube is put on really level ground (difficult in our wood) then there are quite large gaps along the joins between the roof & the sides which I suspect could compromise the weather/water proofing of the house.

I specifically bought the heavy duty cover for the egly classic (extension) to fit the guinea pig run that goes with the eglu. I use the eglu with the guinea pig run as a sick bay, temporary accommodation for new 9wk old chicks, isolating injured bantams as well as separating bullies from their victims.The shade fit is perfect, keeps food dry and this year has provided ample protection from the frequent and heavy rain we have experienced. The cover quality is excellent and should last a lot longer than the ealier shades. Would definitely recommend.

Very easy to keep clean. Bantams love it. They realised from day 1 that they had to climb the ladder to go to bed. We had to add an extension to the ladder for the little lavender pekins as they couldn't make it up on their own. Bit worried about the size of the water container in case one of them gets in & can't get out, as they seem to climb into the food container quite happily, so am waiting till they're a bit bigger before using it. In the meantime have placed it outside the run & the peacocks and guinea fowl use it instead whilst visiting the little bantams. Would recommend the cube to any prospective purchasers.

Anyone buying the Go should consider buying this at the start because you WILL be addicted and you WILL want more chickens. We have 1 extension to house our little flock of 3 and it works well. We managed to introduce some new girls by sticking canes halfway down the run and this left plenty of room for all hens during the day, with them all going into the house at night. The only problem was getting the separate Glug and Grub into the far side of the run- I never thought I'd end up on my hands and knees crawling through a chicken run. Excellent product anyway and has given our little flock the space they need.
