bought these as i bought a pre loved eglu and the old ones were very rusty. with the other replacement parts i bought i now have a brand new looking eglu and also spares if ever needed!

I am very pleased with the Eglu Go, and my 3 ex-battery hens love it too. It's very easy to clean. My only gripe - I didn't find the instructions that easy to follow (some parts were very easy but other times I had difficulty puttin it together) and it took me a lot longer than it said it would,in fact I gave up near the end and got my son to finish assembling it.

We already have a classic eglu and wanted to get more chickens, the cube is great, our chickens seem really happy with the additional room, although we did have to put a wooden step beneath the ladder as one of the chickens hurt its leg jumping down.

Excellent service and excellent product, as always, it is my second cube in a year as I have expanded my flock of hens and now keep 14!! My original cube is orange, but I much prefer this green one as not only do I think the colour is better but it is much darker inside so I find the hens don't wake as early as the ones sleeping in the orange one. Very good product, easy to build, did it myself! Also so easy and quick to keep clean. Oh and even after 10 months of keeping hens in the orange one there is not a red mite in sight! Great!

Fantastic compared to what is currently available, however, a few little simple design changes would make it an excellent product. Firstly, the wheels currently leaves marks and wear out the grass. This would be avoided simply by making the lever track (the space the levers move through to pull the wheels up and down at the back) slightly longer so that you could pull the levers up off the ground when at rest. Secondly, Im always anxious that the chickens will escape when I change their water and feed. If there were some separate small doors above where the water and feed were located (similar to many bird cages but secured with pins) then it would make this job much easier. Thirdly, I find it hard to move the eglu around. There is nothing to hold onto at the back and I don't want to apply too much pressure at the front wire as I feel it isn't strong enough and may bend or become misshapen over time - especially when the ground isn't smooth or the wheels are in a slight hole (because of the pressure they exert on the ground -see problem number 1 above). A couple of handles at the back that are made out of very strong plastic (like the cube itself) would be really helpful. Apart from the above I think it is an excellent product and well worth the extra money spent. Makes chicken keeping easy. Thanks! Rachelle

The Go is liked by the chickens, which is the main concern. It is easy for me to clean, but I would have preferred an easier system for connecting and releasing the run from the Go to make moving and cleaning easier. The Go has to be on very level ground or the door sticks, but once this was realized, it was easily sorted. The Go feeder was not liked by the chickens and I've ordered the Classic Grub which is much more popular. The water container can be difficult to lift out when full of water as you need to get both lugs off at the same time, bending down, kneeling in chicken poo in my dressing gown probably doesn't help. Very attractive looking, matches the roses lovely.

Putting it together was a bit of a nightmare - took two hours and needed help from two friends to put clips together - but that is probably why it is secure. The chickens took to it immediately and Julia laid her first egg within an hour! Hilary and Michelle produced the following morning and we have settled in to three a day. We kept them in the run for two weeks and finally risked letting them free range last Sunday. Each returned to the Pod to lay and took themselves to bed about 8:45pm then lights out at 9. We don't know what variety they are (bought from a local Portuguese chicken lady) but believe them to be about 5 months old so expect them to get a bit bigger - eggs are white, smallish with light yellow yolks but taste wonderful. Their role is to keep the pests under control - we have a tremendous snail problem - not good when you are trying to grow your own veg so fingers crossed for next year's harvest.

Brilliant Item. A must for any chicken keeper as easy to use and remove for cleaning. Soak in water for an hour then scub with chicken friendly cleaning fliud comes up good as new.

After having lost all our girls in the old hen house to a fox, we decided to invest in the Eglu Go. It was a little fiddly to attach the run to the house until we realised that we had a faulty screw. The people at Omlet were brilliant and another was in the post straight away. Our girls are so much tamer because they can be reached easily and it's simple to clean out. We bought our own chickens and they started to lay within a week of them being in the house. The biggest benefit is that we feel a lot happier that the girls are safe in their fox proof home.
