I was very sceptical, having read mixed reviews but having tried it I can vouch that it has worked and my girls will have feathers in time for winter!

Really pleased with the Eglu Cube, having used a more traditional wooden house & runs beforehand. There is more room for the chickens, as the ladder is above the ground and they got used to jumping up quite quickly. The door lever is very useful. The best benefit is ease of cleaning, in my opinion. Not entirely conviced that all elements of our purchase were brand new though as the door hooks and the part of the run caging had some rusting on delivery. Overall, very pleased and glad that the chickens are off the ground. Using ours for 4 hybrids and wouldn't want to use it for any more unless we bought the extension run.

A very sturdy construction but then it should be for the price. 2 points though.- We have replaced the ladder with a plank of wood. In the mornings they would come out and slip on the slope outside the door, put a leg through the gap between the house and the first rung and then have to fly down. The ladder should have an extra rung at the top. It would have been nice to have sliding vents in two of the sides so you could control the ventilation between Summer and a howling blizzard. Absolutely excellent in every way. I would never have a wooden hen house again. My 3 hens were at home from day one and started laying immediately. They free range the veg garden in the day and as soon as dusk falls they make their way to the Cube, climb the ladder and go to bed. I just shut the door until the morning. Amazingly easy to clean , beautifully engineered features for ease and hygiene. I was initially concerned as to how it would look in our veg garden which adjoins our 15th century home but it adds a certain quirkiness which is very pleasing. 5 chickens have just moved in and settling into there new home. They learnt to go to bed at night from day 1 just have a bit of difficulty negotiating the steps when getting up in the mornings. The gap between the house and the stairs is a bit to large for them at present and there's not much for them to grip with their feet so they often just tumble out.

Our chickens, Rambo, Clucky, Snowy and Coco love their new home. They settled in very quickly and we had our first egg the same afternoon! Its brilliant, so easy to move and even easier to clean. Such a funky design, everyone who sees it loves it. The only down side was the price, (you kinda want to hide the reciept)

These are much better than the wooden bars that I inherited when I bought a 2nd hand Eglu. The only problem is that the raised bits (which I presume help the chooks to grip) also collect gunge and need scrubbing sometimes.

We have been using the cube for a month now and our 4 hens seem very comfortable. We are able to move it fairly easily around the garden, but for four hens the extra 1m extension is best. No sign of red-mite and very easy to keep clean. We even foxes present being quite rural, but so far (and fingers crossed) so good. Yes I would buy one again.

An intrinsic problem with the run supplied with the Go is the difficulty of reaching the other end of the run from the one entrance. The chooks seem to have a knack for piling up the chippings in the Eglu doorway so the door jams and it's very difficult to get in to clear it out. We've found this extra panel with door to be an excellent solution. Although it's described as 'End panel with Door' it fits into the sides as well, and having replaced the side panel nearest the Go with this one, we now have access at both ends of the run.
