I was using my original drinker elsewhere so I bought this as an extra to put in Mt Eglu

All three of my girls love the Pendant Pecking toy. I have it suspended over the high perch. One chicken jumps up on to the perch, bash it a few times and seeds fall to the floor of the pen for the chucks to find and hoover up.

I couldn’t decide whether to buy this caddy treat holder for my girls or not, but I decided to just before the sale ended! When it arrived I put a little gem lettuce in it & took it out to see what my girls thought of it. I hung it up & stood back to watch! In less than one minute Pandora, my Speckled Sussex hen had come over to investigate! Seconds later she was pecking away at it! I was delighted! It’s something else to keep them occupied while they are restricted due to the avian influenza, so money well spent! But I was thrilled that it was Pandora who had come to investigate because just three weeks earlier I had been having to tube feed her three times a day, as she was not eating! So the caddy feeder was helping with her recovery! (It seems that she stops eating when a flock member dies!) I used the caddy holder daily for my girls to have a little gem lettuce, which is perfect for size, or a chunk of cabbage in it, to enjoy in the afternoons. The do prefer it if the cabbage has been lightly cooked for them first though! Not that they are at all pampered!

This feeder is just what we were looking for. Easy to install, good quality, very happy with our purchase.

This came as standard with my Eglu Cube and I must admit that I really didn't use it to start with. But I've been using it full-time since investing in a walk-in run for "flockdown", and even my runner duck (who thinks she's a chicken - don't ask!) uses it. Reduces waste hugely (I used to scatter their food) and keeps their layers pellets dry even when the rain is torrential. Cleans pretty easily with a dish brush. I'd definitely recommend these.

I bought this feeder recently but not yet installed. I am hoping it will be mouse-proof. My last chooks were killed by foxes so I’m still working or the area. Foxes, mice and wild birds are my main issues to try to prevent.
