Good Quality but complicated to put together
Viv,
Have the 12m fence. This is my second attempt to construct it. There are too many components/ ties/pegs/ posts etc. Other makes have it already assembled you just roll it out the posts etc are already attached just put a few pegs in the bottom.

Charity, Massachusetts,
It was easy to put together and put up. It keeps the chickens in. I like that it is portable.

chickens jump and FLY OVER - rabbits blast big holes through it !
Sam, Texas,
chickens Jump and FLY OVER this fence. Meanwhile rabbits blast big holes through it !!! we have had a rabbit run through the fence, and now there are just big gaping holes laong the bottom. our chickens laugh at us, as they fly over the top of these, and duck through the holes in the bottom. it was nice at first, but quickly dismissed from our chickens. the

Omlet response:
Hi Sam, Thank you for taking the time to write a review to us. Our fencing should be higher than most other types, however, if your chickens still manage to fly over it, we would recommend wing clipping. This procedure is very easy and harmless for your chickens. You can find more info about this here. Our fencing has not been designed to be predator proof, which is why rabbits can indeed create holes in the fencing. Its purpose is to contain your chickens within one area of your garden. We stay at your disposal for any further information. Yours, Omlet Customer Service team
Not fit for purpose
Kristy-Lee,
Having bought our eglu go-up with and add-on extension run I opted to give our girls some more space so upon reading some of the positive reviews (note to self look at all the reviews on future) I was promoted to buy the omlet chicken fencing. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement, within two weeks rats have chewed through various parts of the flimsy netting. Now whilst I appreciate where you have livestock you have rats I didn’t expect the unwanted visitors to make themselves at home quite so quickly. This fencing needs to be plastic coated metal to provide more rigidity and security from small furries! I’m now looking at upgrading to a walk-in run and to be completely honest I wish I’d done that before spending money on this waste of time product. My advice, save your pennies.

Rodents chewed through it within hours
Patrick,
I bought the Omlet MK2 105 sq ft. chicken fencing and a rabbit chewed through it within hours and now my chickens are escaping. This is cheap plastic fencing no different from something you can get for half the price at a big box store. I am really disappointed.

Good choice, but go bigger!
Jane, North Carolina,
I bought our fence back in May so our girls could have more room to roam but also leave my garden intact! This has done the trick. I put it together entirely by myself. It took a night and a day (but because I ran out of daylight the night before and didn’t start til after supper. 2 folks are a good idea to actually put it up in your yard. The fence is “wobbly” without the lines that make it taut- they attach to the poles and go into the ground with tent pegs. Those things make all the difference. My chickens respect the fence in that they don’t try to “jump” it even though they squawk unhappily when I close them in. They just want run of the whole yard and to eat my garden. Except my Rhode Island reds- they refused to be hemmed in and if they’re feeling especially froggy, they’ll jump the fence in a hot minute, leaving their irritated too-fat-to-fly orpington friends and the obedient barred rock girl behind. I got the 40some foot one, and should have gotten the 60’ one. I have 7 hens and will be introducing 4 pullets in several more weeks. While this is plenty large, if you have especially needy and dramatic queens of the yard, you’re gonna want more room or they’ll get cranky.

Looks good but not squirrel proof
David,
The fence looks great and does a good job of keeping the hens in, initially at least. However, after a few weeks we noticed various holes appearing along the bottom of the fence and the hens escaping. It turns out the plastic fence is no match for visiting squirrels and they will destroy it in no time. A good product in concept but will not last.

Love the fence, but chickens fly over
Jeremy,
The fence is great quality and easy to set up. Unfortunately my chickens can be very motivated to fly over. Well they fly on top of the fence and roost first, and then drop to the other side. Their wings are clipped. Save by a new fence, I'm not sure what to do.

Omlet response:
Hi Jeremy, Thank you very much for taking the time to write us a review about your fencing. We are sorry to read about your situation. Our current fencing is already taller than most other types, at 1m25. If necessary, you can always adjust the poles of the fence to ensure that the netting remains tight and secure at all times. Usually, wing clipping is the most effective method indeed to prevent chickens to fly away from the fencing. Some breeds might be able to fly higher and better, however this would normally be the case of wilder breeds, unlike our domesticated chickens that are bred to lay eggs. If you wish, don't hesitate to contact us by email or by phone if you have any further request. Best Regards, Clemence Omlet Customer Service team
