You can extend the run in 1m sections if you wish. The Eglu can be positioned on grass or any other surface such as wood chippings or rough ground where the chickens can rummage.

The unique tunnel-proof panels have been proven in rigorous testing to be fox and badger resistant. The run means that when you are out and about you can be sure that your chickens are safe. The dark green PPE coating is fused to the metal wires ensuring an extremely durable finish that looks great.

The Eglu Cube chicken house in a garden. If you want to keep your chickens on grass we recommend that you move your Eglu Cube Chicken Coop around every so often to keep your lawn in tip top condition.

Ideally your garden should have a fence all the way round. This will prevent your chickens from wandering into the neighbours garden and, more importantly, ensure that all the eggs are laid on your side of the fence! The fence should be about 1.5m (5ft) high.

If you do not have grass, it is possible to keep a couple of chickens but you must provide them with a layer of wood chippings to rummage about in as this will give them the right type of surface underfoot.

- Ernest,

Eglu looks good in the garden and has been admired by many. Chickens seem very happy in it. Easy to keep clean. Shredded newspaper in the nest box is very easy and seems to stay fresh and clean for some time. Move our Eglu and run every day, chickens enjoy being moved to fresh grass daily.

Expensive but a great product is you are not at home all the time. - Roger,

Although the product is expensive we needed a secure environment and this provides it. We have a 1m extension and the chickens are now self sufficient. Being able to move the Eglu easily is a definite advantage.

Totally wonderful - Penny,

I now have two large eglus, and they are totally wonderful. The design is brilliant, I clean mine out daily and it takes no time at all. I have all the neighbours saving me newspapers, and I hose down the perches. Mites are a thing of the past, there is nowhere to hide, and the chickens seem to love it too. I would not recommend anything else to anyone thinking of keeping chickens and I have kept chickens for over twenty years.

Excellent - Katie,

Absolutely love my cube. So easy to clean compared to my wooden coop, well ventilated, doesnt leak, red mite is no longer a problem, chickens love it!

good product but.. . - Rachael,

So I had lots of problems with delivery and receiving the correct clips to put the run together although this isn't why I'm giving it 3 stars as I feel adequately reimbursed for this. When Putting the actual cube together I found 1 major and one minor fault. The major one being that no matter what order I screwed the screws in I could not affix the ladder to the coop as the screw holes just would not line up. Eventually I had to get my drill and hack out the plastic from around one of the holes in the ladder. It only needed to be about 3mm further to one side but this was risky as I didn't want to ruin the coop. The minor issue being again very frustrating. The 2 brackets which you screw into the sides of the top of the cube (used for the roof to slide open on) of the screws would not bite and kept turning around and around. It was important that the screw fit tight as it was an adjustable bracket. I'm afraid after spending £900 these things simply shouldn't happen. It meant that putting the coop together took hours (in the rain as we'd promised my daughter we'd get chickens the next day) I've given it 3 stars because once together the coop and run are very robust and easy to use and keep clean. We have a 3m run and you wouldn't want any bigger if you want to move it around on the wheels. Some of the run clips are a nightmare and pop off all the time. Cable ties are better to be honest. The big glug bowl is very heavy once full but a good design otherwise. Although the coop may house 8-10 chickens (though i think 6 lage breeds or 8 bantams) you wouldn't want more than 1 chicken per 1m of run. Mine hen pecked in first few days until free ranged. All in all a good product but a few ddisappointments given the price. Would I buy again.. hmm I think so...nothing quite like it out there on the market.
