Quick and Easy to Wipe Clean Surfaces
The smooth surfaces of the Eglu Cube can be cleaned in just minutes, watch the video to see how!
Keeping your coop hygienically clean and your hens healthy is easy with an Eglu Cube. The roosting bars are designed to let all the droppings fall through onto a slide out tray, which can then be simply removed and emptied onto the compost heap (chicken droppings make brilliant fertilizer for your plants!) The roosting bars can also be lifted out for cleaning.
For a deep clean of your Eglu Cube, remove the back panel, nesting box, roosting bars and partition. All the smooth surfaces are made from a high density polymer which you can pressure wash so you can have your chickens’ coop spotlessly clean, pest and red mite free in less than 5 minutes. Click the image to watch a fast deep-clean in action.
Open and Close Your Eglu Cube to Save Time With an Optional Autodoor
The Eglu Cube comes ready prepared with fixing points inside the house so that you can easily fit the optional Omlet Automatic Chicken Coop Door in minutes. The battery or mains powered Autodoor can be set to open and close at a specific time or by a light sensor, to give you more flexibility and peace of mind. Attaching the Autodoor to your Eglu Cube will free up your time without compromising your chickens' safety!
The horizontal-style Automatic door improves coop security, as predators cannot simply lift it up, and the built-in safety sensors prevent accidental closures on your chickens. Reliable in all weather conditions, the Autodoor is the perfect solution for opening your Eglu Cube without getting out of bed in the morning, and also for closing your coop in the evening when it’s dark before you are home from work!
Add an optional Coop Light to guide your chickens up to the coop 5 minutes before the Autodoor is set to close for the evening.
House Up to 6 Large Hens or 10 Bantams
This large chicken coop can house up to 10 chickens, perfect if you’re looking to keep a bigger flock in a town or country garden.
The large Eglu Cube Chicken Coop is perfect if you have a large existing flock or you are starting out with 2 but already planning for more chickens!
The coop is perfect for the following sizes:
Up to 10 bantams or
Up to 8 medium size hens or
Up to 6 large breed hens
The rear door panel can be simply unlocked and removed to give you full access to the inside where you’ll find your chickens have everything they need. There is draft free ventilation, a deep nesting booth, and your hens will sleep safely and snugly on the perfectly rounded roosting bars at night.
Keeps Your Hens Safe in a Heavy Duty Steel Run With Anti-Tunnel Skirt
Discover just how strong the Omlet runs are by watching the video!
Omlet knows that your chicken’s run is just as important as their house. That’s why the Eglu Cube’s spacious, secure run is made from heavy duty steel weld mesh, and features a unique anti-tunnel skirt that even the most persistent predator won’t be able to break or dig through. No other chicken run offers such a high level of protection giving you peace of mind that your hens are safe inside when you’re not home. Eglu runs have been rigorously tried and tested for over 15 years. Watch the short video to see the difference between an Eglu Run and standard chicken wire.
The dark green PPE coating is fused to the metal wires ensuring an extremely durable finish that looks great in any garden. The standard 2m run can be extended in approximately 1m lengths to achieve the appropriate run space you need for the size of your flock. You can position the Eglu on grass, wood chippings or soil and if the area is uneven you can secure the anti-tunnel skirt to the ground with Omlet’s Screw Pegs.
There’s lots of room inside to enrich the run with treat holders, additional perches and peck toys.
Effortlessly Move the Coop With Wheels and Run Handles
Watch the video to see just how easy it is to move the Eglu Cube thanks to the smooth wheel mechanism.
The optional wheels make the Eglu Cube effortless to move, even by just one person. Simply press down with your foot on the pedal and the Cube is lifted into the air. Wheel the hen house into its new position and release the wheel mechanism with another push of the pedal and the Eglu Cube will gently rest back onto the ground. The wheels can be used with the Eglu Cube with or without the run, they simply attach to the frame of the house. If you’ve got a longer run, or a particularly uneven lawn, the Eglu Run Handles will make moving the coop even easier.
"I love this coop and so does my flock of 6 chickens! The design is not only functional but it is also fun. The coop itself is easy to clean and to move around using the wheel package."
Enjoy Collecting Fresh Eggs From the Handy Eggport
Collect fresh eggs from the spacious nest box, without having to open up the whole coop, thanks to the Eggport on the side.
Collecting fresh eggs every morning is a daily delight for chicken keepers. The Eggport on the side of the Eglu Cube chicken coop gives direct access to the nest box. You can get up to 12 eggs per week from 2 hens so if you have a large flock you’ll have plenty of eggs for cakes, Sunday brunch and Omlets!
More chickens means more eggs, and the Eglu Cube has a spacious yet private nesting booth where up to 3 chickens at a time can lay in comfort. The central partition has a sliding door that you can use to close the nest at night to stop hens who might be tempted to roost in there.
Open and close the Cube’s front door using the large handle on top of the house. Easy to do even in winter with gloves on! Letting your chickens out in the morning or securing the coop at night couldn’t be easier.
Hens Will Be Comfortable All Year Thanks to Twin-Wall Insulation
The twin wall insulation of the Eglu Cube keeps your chickens warm in winter and cool in summer.
Eglu Cubes are used by chicken keepers all over the world from Australia to Canada and everywhere in between. Why? Because they provide protection from all types of weather extremes.
The Eglu Cube is specially designed to keep your chickens warm in winter. The Eglu has a unique twin-wall insulation system which works in a similar way to double glazing, trapping your hens body heat inside, while ensuring cold air on the outside cannot penetrate through.
In summer your chickens will be kept cool by the Eglu Cube's draught-free ventilation system, carefully designed to avoid air blowing directly over the roosting area whilst allowing fresh air to circulate. You can also add different run covers to keep your hens comfortable outside whatever the weather.
Give Chickens More Space by Connecting to a Walk in Run
The run can be extended at any time, or connected straight to a larger Walk In Chicken Run.
You can give your chickens even more space by adding run extensions to your Eglu Cube. Made of the same strong steel weld mesh as the Eglu runs, the run extensions come in approximately 1m long sections and are quick to attach. You can use the extra space to add fun treat dispensing toys, like the Peck Toy or Caddi Treat Holder.
Alternatively, you can create a secure chicken paradise with the addition of Omlet’s Walk in Chicken Run. These extremely popular runs offer the benefit of added height so you can go into the run and hang out with your hens. It will also give your chickens a large play space to enjoy when you cannot let them out to free range, and you can accessorise your run with a traditional wooden perch, or teach them to do a tuck back salto with full twist on a Chicken Swing!
Free Ranging is Easy With Stable Style Run Doors and Fencing
With the Omlet Chicken Fencing you can open up the stable style run door to let your chickens out to free-range.
The Eglu Cube has a convenient and practical stable-style door at the end of the run. The top and bottom open independently of each other, so you can keep the bottom door closed if you just want to top up the feeder without your hens escaping, or open both doors to get full access to the run or let your chickens out to free range.
If you want to give your pets a larger area to enjoy in the garden you can combine your Eglu Cube with the Omlet Chicken Fencing. This allows you to create a wonderful chicken playground in your garden, while also preventing your hens from wandering into the neighbour's. The discreet and strong fencing can be adjusted to fit the space you’ve got, and works perfectly with the Eglu Cube both with or without run. It has also got a cleverly designed inbuilt gate that can be positioned wherever you choose, making it even easier for you to get in and spend time with your chickens.
No Painting, Re-Roofing or Repairs Needed!
The Eglu Cube is easy to assemble, and the how to build video will guide you through the process. Watch a preview above.
The Eglu Cube comes neatly packed in courier friendly boxes with a step-by-step instruction manual, there’s also a really handy step by step video on Youtube to help you build your new chicken coop. The Cube house easily screws together, and the chicken run mesh panels are secured together with sturdy Omlet designed and manufactured run clips.
The Eglu Cube is designed for zero maintenance. Unlike wooden housing, you will never need to paint or re-roof your Eglu Cube - saving you time and money.
It’s easy for one person but quicker with two! You can also watch a walk-through “how to build” video here to see each step of the manual in action.

The Eglu Cube While the Eglu Cube doesn’t have traditional wooden perches, has specially designed roosting bars with a structured surface and rounded corners where the chickens will sleep comfortably at night.
Roosting bars allow the chickens to grip onto something while they sleep, which makes them feel safe and comfortable. As they climb up into the Cube to roost, they also get the reinforced feeling of being off the ground. Although they don’t look like traditional wooden perches, roosting bars are great for larger breeds who find it tricky to jump up to a raised perch, or recently rescued hens who don’t have the strength to flap, and the shape of the bars makes sure most of the droppings fall straight onto the removable tray underneath.
