Setting up takes much longer than claimed. Clips are sometimes difficult to handle.

I assembled it on my own, so it took me a while but I did it! My chickens love it and whenever I put the pen at another place, they will happily follow it to go to bed. One thing that could be improved are the stairs, a bit difficult to climb up and down for older chickens. But not sure if it would be the same for other stairs as I never had any other pens before! Good and durable pen!

This is the third type of chicken I've purchased in eleven years, the first two being wooden of different designs from different suppliers, but this Eglu Go is by far the easiest to clean out and our girls are so snug and warm in the pod at night. The 2m run is great for them, although they do free range (when avian flu isn't around!). Customer service was great, delivery was quick. Although I put it together myself, another pair of hands would have been helpful, but still managed. The only downside for me is that the food and water hoppers were way too big for my little hens, so still use their red and white hoppers. Rats can also squeeze through the wire so will probably secure small chicken wire over the entire run at some point for peace of mind. Other than that, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this type of coop. If my girls had thumbs, they'd be sticking them up in the air as I type this!

I moved from a traditional wooden coop to eglu coop last month. I had problems with the wheel arms fitting properly and can only say Omlet went out of their way to resolve. They sent a variety of parts to solve the issue, all free of charge then arranged free collection of parts again. I haven’t totally resolved the issue but if I take out wheel bearings arms line up fine so I’m going for that solution. Having taken whole run apart and rebuilt 4 times trying to solve the problems I can say these runs are brilliantly designed, no part can be attached in the wrong way and they do come apart if you need to with no problems. I love the mobility of the run. Because it’s winter and wet I am moving my run weekly to prevent too much lawn damage. It’s so easy to clean lower tray, I just line with newspaper and use dog poo bag to pick up hen droppings. I have 3 medium to large hens and it’s just the right size. My hens used to lay all over garden and stables but now out of their own choice they all lay in coop. I’ve played about with best bedding a bit and now have a mixture of a little hay and straw in the nest area, it seems to bed in well and stay put, wood shavings and chips just seemed to blow and scatter everywhere. I would have loved to stretch to the bigger coop but for my household 3 eggs a day are more than enough. I would have liked the option of fitting electric door on the coop but not an option on the go up I see. I never closed coop door on my wooden run just the run door and wondered if hens would adapt which they have done fine. I hope the eglu will give me many years service.

So glad my husband and I decided to get this coop. It's worked perfectly for our needs. Definitely a great purchase choice. And much nicer than other store bought coops.

I bought one coop. Don't know who likes it best, me or the chickens. Bought 3 more coops and moved all my chickens from plywood and chicken wire coops to their Eglu coops. They all think they have died and gone to heaven. Coops are secure from predators, rain, cold, heat, wind; so easy to keep clean!

Finally got around to assembling my wife's Cube. Took just over two and a half hours to put together on my own. Instructions easy enough to follow so didn't need to refer to the videos. The Cube itself is excellent and easy enough to move around (I would recommend purchasing the wheels). The only concerns I have are with the auto door. The controls themselves are simple and easy to use. The cover doesn't click shut and every time you change the batteries you have to undo four small screw which could easily get lost in the grass and you expose the PCB to the elements, hence only 4 stars. A separate battery compartment that slides out might be better. Overall though very pleased with purchase. Just need to get some chickens now!

Easy to assemble evwn with one person - videos were enormous help. Took me just under 3 hours! Love the Omlet in regards to being able to easily clean which minimises flies & odours & mess. I just wish it was a bit bigger. I have 10 small bantams & they are cramped in there. I've had to attach wooden logs along the inner rungs as the birds can't perch properly & they were getting poop all over each other. The nesting box can only fit 2 - 3 hens in at a time. Ive had to make nesting boxes & put under the Omlet. My girls flatly refuse to use the metal/plastic ladder - it's too steep & when they have damp feet they slip off it, one injured themselves. I have stacked hay bales so they can jump up that way. I love love love the auto door & the fact that it won't close if one of my hens is in the way. All in all I'm glad I got it because I know they are safe & secure at night. But please review the size and perhaps offer a ramp instead of that ladder.

A lot of thought went into the design of this chicken-coop with run. I also have fitted it with an automatic door to the coop in light-triggered mode, so I don't have to go out first thing in the morning to open the coop or in the dark, to close the door (especially when it rains -- I am in Australia).
