We bought this to house our 4 chickens which were in an small old wooden coop. This product is great for easy of access and cleaning, we have reduced our cleaning times by at least half with the pull out drawer and the plastic parts are so easy to wash down. The chickens seem to be really enjoying their new space and perching bars in the run. Thank you Omlet for a great design and ease of use. We would definitely recommend this product to anyone with chickens.

I was struggling so bad with keeping our coop clean! Now with our new coop it’s easy to keep the coop clean, the girls safe, and the eggs collected. One day I’ll have a huge walk in run from omlet with multiple coops. For now this is perfect. It held up under 2.5’ of snow and kept my girls warm enough no heater needed.

Everything has been considered. Not cheap but an excellent coop.

My Eglu cube was not easy to assemble. The clips do not work well in the cold at all and I was missing cable ties and clips from my kit.. It was a long drawn out process and very hard without help. When finally assembled my Pekin bantams were not impressed as they found the plastic far too slippery. They struggled to get up and down the ladder as it is very steep and slippery so took to flying - I have now had to install a long wooden ramp and they are much happier. They are also used to roosting at night so hated the main bit and slipped on the plastic. I now have straw and have installed a roosting perch. So whilst it is easy to clean I have not got away from the nooks and crannies to avoid red mites which was my aim. On the plus side it is very easy to move around the garden and the plastic is easy to clean. Please consider longer more gently sloping ramps with a non slip surface and some kind of roosting perch.

Bought this in Oct 2021 12 weeks for a couple of chickens so how have wee found it. Building it was reasonable once the parts were separated and plan sections were followed. When assembled the House is well made and designed and with the run looks great,but adding the run was footery to build lots of clips to hold the run together, Why are the side panels not made in one piece so all you needed was a couple side then a top. We placed our run on slabs but quickly realised that when it rained the run got wet underfoot very quickly due to wind and rain and the cover only covers the top and a little of the sides, by adding a full cover over the run stopped the wind blown rain and made things a lot better for the girls, by adding two 3x2 foot slabs down the middle of the run and house meant the chickens have dry feet. In use the run is great to clean a quick daily scrap with a hoe and a hand scraper cleans the slabs in the run, the house is so easy to clean out as well daily with a deep clean a couple of times a month using a hose and brush a quick dry with a cloth brings it back to new. the two chickens are doing well; bought as ready to lay, one is now laying daily the other is just about to start laying. We let them out when we are in the garden to let them stretch their wings. Plans afoot to mack a larger enclosure using the Eglu go as the house. The Eglu chicken house is well built and well designed, a reasonable priced auto door opened would be great. the rune enclosure once built is okay but a little cramped to allow the chickens move about more and the construction has been designed for easy packing and carriage the side panels could be at least one piece, to cover supplied could or should be longer to give better rain protection and allow user to roll up the sides as required. Overall a nice House for keeping a few Chickens in a small urban garden

We love how easy this coop is to clean. We also love being able to move it around to give the chickens new bugs and grass.

Easy to clean, easy to move, totally dry and draught proof. It takes a little time to construct but I was doing it on my own. The instructions were good. My girls love it.

I wish I could give this 3.5 stars. In fact, If this was already assembled, I’d likely give it 4-5 stars. But… Although I knew it would need assembly, I wasn’t prepared for how much time it would take to put together the coop and 9 foot run. I lost track, but it probably took 8-12 hours, with a quarter of the time needing two people involved. Another downside is that it’s hard to move on muddy or uneven ground. There are no handle bars to lift the run, so you have to grab the wire to move the whole thing. It works to do this, but I worry about how long the plastic joints will last if I move it everyday (which was the point of purchasing this.) Not having a way to lift the run in order to move the whole thing, seems like a significant flaw to me. Aside from those significant issues, the coop itself seems super sturdy and very functional. It will be much easier to clean than my previous coops and I think my hens will be warmer through winter with this design. Also, a plus for me is that it all looks beautiful when it’s put together, which is very pleasing to me. The rain/sun shade works well and held up against 2 days of big rains and 30-40 mile/hr winds this week. Overall I’m glad I made the purchase, but I’d hesitate to recommend to someone else without making sure they knew the cons. P.S. I’d highly recommend getting a perch to put in the run. Without the perch, the run felt a little flimsy, but the perch really helped make the design more solid.
