The Eglu Go Hutch is the simple, stylish, straightforward way to keep pets. Suitable for two to three guinea pigs, this will make a wonderful home for your new friends. It has been designed to enable your pet guinea pigs to express their natural instincts, offering them a fun environment that will make them feel really at home.
The Eglu Go Guinea Pig Hutch offers two main areas for your pet to explore. The house is a wonderful hidey-hole to eat, sleep and snuggle up in, and the optional secure 1m run is perfect for a run around and some fresh air. The biggest benefit of having a hutch and run in one is your pet's freedom to go in and out as it pleases, according to its own routine. As a result, your pet will be happy, relaxed and easier to handle.
Keeping the Eglu Go Hutch in order is easy thanks to its clever design. This guinea pig house has wipe-clean surfaces and a slide-out bedding tray to make it easy to clean, and, made from energy-efficient polymers, it never needs to be treated. It is a hygienic home for your pets, naturally weather resistant, and at the end of its life it can be recycled.
Cleaning the Eglu Go Guinea Pig Hutch is a doddle, and just a few minutes each week will keep it looking (and smelling) smart and fresh. The large door at the back allows easy access to the house, and the slide-out tray makes it quick to change your pet's bedding. The droppings make a great fertiliser for your plants, just add them to your compost bin. The Eglu's smooth plastic surfaces do not absorb moisture, making it more hygenic than a wooden hutch, and it can be washed all over with a quick blast of a hose or pressure washer. Easy!
The Eglu Go Hutch can be purchased with a 2m run, suitable for two to three guinea pigs to run around in. Made from strong, steel weld mesh, it is virtually impossible for predators to break. Depending on the size of your pet, the underfloor wire may not contain them if positioned on uneven ground. You should always try to place the run on the flattest ground possible. If the run does not sit completely flat you can peg it down for extra security.
The run comes in sections for easy transportation and storage, and it can be put together in minutes. Once assembled, you'll find that it really looks the part, with a dark green coating that blends into the garden beautifully. The run has spacious vertical sides, increasing in width to 97cm and reaching a height of 71cm at the end, giving your pets plenty of room to stand upright, and the run door can be opened to stroke, feed, or lift your pets out regularly.
The Eglu has a single large door at the back which can be opened to reveal the bedding tray and access the hay rack and water bottle.
The removable bedding tray can be slid out quickly to clean out, re-fill or top up the stainless steel treat bowl.
The easy-to-use front door gives the option to shut pets in the house at night or keep them in the run for when you want to clean the house.
The Eglu is specially designed to keep your pets warm in the winter. Its unique twin-walled insulation system works in a similar way to double glazing, trapping a pocket of air between layers to keep the house well insulated.
In the unlikely event that we have a sweltering summer, you can be safe in the knowledge that your pets will be kept cool in the Eglu. Its draught-free ventilation system allows fresh air to circulate whilst preventing air from blowing directly over the bedding area.
The Eglu Go Hutch has a run large enough to give your pets the exercise they need to develop strong bones and stay fit and healthy, and they will love being able to go in and out of their house as they please. Unlike other runs, this comes with an in-built anti-tunnel base, so your pets won't escape, and your garden will remain intact.
Although grass is great for rabbits and guinea pigs, it is possible to keep them if you don't have a lawn. You can keep the Eglu on a patio area, but you should provide them with a deep sand box to dig in.
You can connect the run of your Eglu Go Guinea Pig Hutch to the new Zippi Guinea Pig Tunnel System to give your pets the opportunity to explore a whole new world! The Zippi Tunnel connects easily and securely to the wire mesh of the Eglu Go Run and can be used to link your hutch to a larger separate run or playpen. Alternatively you could just build a fun network of tunnels for your guinea pigs to run down and explore!
The Zippi Guinea Pig tunnels are both flexible and predator resistant and you can add as many different sections as you like to create a custom network of tunnels in your garden. It is a secure and fun way to provide your guinea pig with additional exercise space. Access to any extra guinea pig runs or playpens can be controlled by an optional lockout door on the Zippi tunnel.

While the strong materials and thought out design makes it extremely hard for predators to get to your pets, no hutch is 100% predator proof. Check the hutch and run regularly to make sure all features are working as intended, including latches, doors and run clips.
If you live in an area with lots of predators, including small ones like martens and weasels you might want to consider adding extra protection to your run.
The mesh is added to protect your pets, either from them digging out or predators digging in.
If the hutch and mesh are positioned correctly, your pets should not be able to feel the bars. It's important that the metal lies flush against the ground without any gaps; you don't want your rabbit or guinea pig to put their whole weight onto a paw that's standing on a metal wire. It's not very comfortable, and can cause problems in the long run.
