The Eglu Go is really well insulated but following two of the coldest and snowiest winters the UK has ever seen we decided it was time to offer your chickens the ultimate protection from extreme weather. These insulating liners for the Eglu Go have been designed to keep your chickens as warm as possible during the deep freeze.

If it’s good enough for Astronauts it’s (just) good enough for your chickens. Omlet’s insulated covers are lined with Flectalon. Originally developed by NASA to keep astronauts warm during missions, Flectalon has been made available for a select few earth missions. Flectalon combines trapped air thermal insulation with mirror surfaces that reflect infra red heat back into the eglu making it simply the most efficient insulator known to man. It is also used in emergency blankets to treat hypothermia, deep sea diving suits and to prevent frost damage to the very valuable sculptures at the National Trust.

The extreme temperature liner for the Eglu Go comes in three sections which fit between the grey body and the coloured panels of the main house. It is quick and easy to fit and can be used throughout the Winter or even the Summer, if you wish. The liners manage to keep the temperature of your Eglu consistent in the coldest Winter or warmest Summer. It is suitable for use on the Eglu Go, Go Hutch and Go UP.

Cosy happy chickens - Laura,

My husband Scott and I decided although we have a busy lives looking after 4 house bunnies, we wanted to rescue some ex-barn chickens. We'd already purchased x2 large full height Omlet runs for our bunnies to play in during the sunny days of the summer. We love the products, we think the runs are fantastic! So we decided to buy the Eglu. We when collected birds from the farm and the poor little birds had virtually no feathers, we were so worried they'd be cool, we brought the extreme weather liners panels, which were brilliant and keep our chick as lovely and cosy. Theses panels are easy to fit, although it does involve unscrew the outer panels, so easy, but not a 2 minute job.

Snug chickens - Lyn,

We know our chickens are happy in their Eglu but thought they might like to be a bit more cosy this winter so ordered the extreme temperature liners. Some reviews said they were tricky to fit but we had no problems at all. Very happy chickens and customer.

All round excellent - Michael,

Great idea, easy to fit-ideal for the middle of the North York Moors in the middle of winter especially in the frost pocket in which we live.

Big relief just in time for the cold weather - Dawn,

Really pleased this arrived in time for the cold nights. Peace of mind for our Guinea pigs through the winter months. Very easy to fit-one minute job!

work well but fiddly - Victoria,

work well, but fiddly to put into unit, must be a better way to fit them.
