Chicken Health Supplements

Chicken Spice. Useful for when a chicken isn't laying, whilst moulting and as a general pick-me-up. Chicken spice is in fact a mineral supplement to keep your chickens in tiptop condition. You might give this to your chicken if it is moulting or to help it maintain a good appetite in the winter. You give 1/4 teaspoon per chicken. Remember chicking spice also goes by the name of Poultry Spice.


Red Mite Powder. The symptoms to look out for are a pale comb and listless behaviour, it is quite common in summer, check under the roosting bars for dark red spots. Keeping your eglu clean is the best way to keep red mites away, however this is a simple solution to getting rid of them if they occur. Red mites are nocturnal creatures so it si best to treat your chicken just before they go to sleep. It is a 100% natural, non-toxic and non-irritant for your chickens and is suitable for organic chickens.


Chicken Tonic. Useful for when a chicken is not laying, during moult and as a general pick-me-up. Similar to Poultry Spice this is a mineral supplement for your chickens. It will give them a boost while they are going through a moult or during the colder months of the year. Add 2ml of this tonic to each litre of drinking water for 2 chickens.


Garlic Powder. Can help to neutralise the smell of droppings. Garlic has been used since ancient times for its wide-ranging beneficial properties. It can neutralise the droppings and help keep your chickens in tip-top condition. You mix about 1 tablespoon with each refill of the feeder.


Organic Apple Cider Vinegar. A general conditioner, our Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is produced the old fashioned way and is full of goodness. You can give your chickens 1/4tsp per drinker and it will aid digestion and help them keep their feathers in good condition. Like the Citricidal you can also use it for cleaning your Eglu too.
