My budgie has a nesting box, the nesting box has a concave, she’s spending a lot of time chewing and digging it deeper, it’s getting extremely deep now, is this normal?

I have a question. I have seen my parakeets breed. I bought a coconut shell with a hole in it and a ladder attached to it. Will that be ok for her to lay eggs in??

My budgie has recently lay 7 eggs, 4 are hatched, 3 still incubating. But the hen and cock are still mating. Why? This is her 3rd successful round of laying and hatching.
