HELP! I’ve been hand feeding a clutch of baby budgies for the last 16 days (since the youngest was 2 days old). Must I continue to feed them every few hours even at night? Do they not sleep at night? How soon until I can sleep at night? Can they at least go longer between feedings at night?

I have a quick question regarding to this (I'm quite new to this!). When do I need to step in and start trying to feed the baby budgie if my budgie already feeds the baby budgie? Do I feed the budgie at 3 weeks? If so, what do I feed the budgie?

How long does it take for baby budgies to get accustomed to hand feeding formula, it's only been the first day but the budgies have not been begging for food, so i have to force feed them a little bit each feeding so they dont starve. I would like to know if it's because they are not used to it yet or is there another reason for the budgies not accepting food. They are 2 - 3 weeks old their feathers have already started sprouting. The formula im using is Kaytee Exact

I want to know if another pair of breeding budgie will raise chicks from other pair who got out of cage or do I have to do myself ?!

Budgies - all parakeets and parrots have a very poor sense of smell, in fact it is the weakest of their senses, sight being the best (probably 3x better than humans). So the lady that blamed her nephew for touching the chicks and then the hen not wanting to attend to them, there must be another reason she didn't want to feed them. I cannot understand this as it is contrary to a bird's natural instinct. Perhaps she needed a bath or was thirsty or simply didn't have anything to give to the chicks. Was a male present? He will feed the hen so she can feed her babies and stay with them to keep them warm. It is quite necessary to have a pair if you are breeding.

I have been feeding a 5-8 day old budgie, he is starting to grow feathers. He is so small and me and my grandaughter are feeding him with a bent spoon, he chirps when he's hungry.
