I have a question. My female budgie has laid 3 eggs with no nesting box. I have out some cardboard and paper down. She doesn't use them, she will push her eggs where she laid them and perch her bottom up in the corner of the cash and sit in the eggs. My question is, can I still clean the cage from all the shells from the birdseed and all the dropping?! Or, will that make her deteor from her eggs?! Please help, first time for this happening it's been 6 days now with no cleaned cage, just clean water and food.

Shailja.. You need to buy a 20 ware "full spectrum" light bulb that acts and gives off energy like the actual sun. A ordinary light bulb probably won't help much.

How long can budgies not sit on their eggs? My budgie rejected one of her four eggs today. Afterwards she was initially sitting on the remaining eggs. Now she hasn’t entered the nest in over an hour. Should I incubate the eggs myself?

Hey! I recently moved the nesting box to a different part of the cage and the mother hasn’t been entering. I don’t know if it’s because she doesn’t think it’s hers or something else, do you know why she might not be entering? If so, please tell me why. Thank you

I have eight budgies and two cage four and four each he lay masha allah 4 egg but in female budgies one egg lays another small box and two another box only two egg female sit her and one egg is not do female to sit her should I one egg mixed two egg otherwise the budgies not throw out air i want answer

Yesterday we had our first egg hatch on Christmas Eve. We are going to let the mother budgie do it’s thing and take care of her babies. Was just wondering if I need to provide the mother with anything to help her feed her babies

I have a couple of baby's that have just come out of there nesting box and have brought them into a different cage without there mother of father. Should I have to hand feed them or should they just start eating by themselves?
