History

To read about the full history of the Siamese cat click here. The tabby point pattern was first mentioned in the early 20th century records, but the active development of this colour variation didn’t begin until the 1960s. The first Siamese tabby point was the result of an unplanned mating. However this kitten attracted attention and breeders actively started trying to produce tabby Siamese points. This colour variation is now recognised by The International Cat Association and the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy.
